I woke up at 6 in the morning. After doing my daily routine...dressed up in my formals because I had some hearings to attend .. Then I was planning to meet KANIKA (her bsf) lately we got so busy that we couldn't even meet in these 2 weeks. She recently joined CITY Hospital with her posting and shifting she couldn't come to meet me. As I was too working on my LAW FIRM/SCHOOL affairs I didn't get time as well.. Anyway after having my coffee I left for the court.

Yes I do live alone... My family doesn't like me much so i moved out of their house after graduating from school. I completed my studies while being in the hostel.. But 2 years back I bought my own apartment I was so happy because it was one of my childhood dreams to have a place of my own.
(Back to the story)
I got settled in my car and Rajiv chacha (her driver) started driving.. After a hour or so we reached the court.. I got out of the car and started walking towards the main Entrance of the court. Still some time was left in hearing so i went to my cabin.. I got settled on my chair and started reading the documents related to today's cases. After ten minutes or so.. There was a knock on my cabin's door.
Author's POV:
Someone knocked on sitara's cabin door. After a pause she said come in.. While that person entered her cabin she was busy in her files that she didn't even looked who that person there was complete silence. Sitara looked up to see who that person is.. After seeing that person's face her face light up and a beautiful genuine smile formed on her face. She got up from her chair and immediately hugged the other person. "Hey! Vedu" she said... The other girl hugged her back more tightly and said "yaar di you don't even miss me".
"It's not like that you know how much busy I was in handling the law firm affairs" Sitara said. Vedika (other girl) huffed "I know di thats only why I'm not angry at you, you seriously missed my birthday party..your vedu's birthday" said. "I'm really sorry vedu..but next time I'll come promise just forgive me this time" Sitara said. "It's ok di i understand no need to apologize & ya next time I'm not letting you miss only" She said & sitara chuckled a bit and said ok ok got it. Btw how are you here do you have any case?
Vedika said no.. No.. Di i was just here to invite you for a party and you can't say No because you just promised. But what's the occasion? Sitara asked. Vedika told her that her elder brother got the CEO post today so there's huge party to celebrate. Sitara didn't wanted to go because she don't like social & business parties but vedika being vedika tricked her. Sitara somehow agreed.
Oky.. Di I'll send you the venue time and everything on text said vedika and after bidding bye to sitara she left for her own office. Sitara again got busy with the files after half an hour it was time for hearings... After attending all the scheduled hearings she went to CITY hospital to meet her best friend KANIKA. She called kanika on the way to ask her if her shift was over.. (On the call)
Sitara: Hey kiku! Kanika: Yes sweetheart
Sitara: Are you done with your shift?
Kanika: Yup almost ready to leave.
Sitara: Okay I'm on the way to hospital
Kanika: Oh my goodness! I'm pleasured
Sitara: Stop being dramatic & come out
Kanika: As you say my Lord (laughed)
(Call cut)
After cutting the call sitara smiled too. She reached kanika's hospital.. Saw her waiting on the entrance door she waved at her to get her attention.. Kanika saw her and came running towards her car then opened the door and got settled. Rajiv uncle (Driver) started driving when sitara told him to go to kanika's home. They were on their way when sitara remembered about the party and told kanika everything.. She said "kiku seriously I don't wanna go..it's a business party I'll be bored only. But vedu will be mad so I said yes". Kanika said Don't worry you will not be bored because vedika invited Ishika (kanika's sis) too.
They reached kanika's home and talked alot for 2 hours.. Sitara said now I should go it's getting late right when kanika's mother glared at her saying.. Itni badi ho gyi hai pr bate abhi bhi bcho wali hai. Chup chap baith khana kha ke jana. Sitara chuckled at her and said abhi bhi bchi hi hu apki!... Kanika's mother smiled and said bilkul hai. Sitara too smiled and thought how kanika's mother always loved her like her own daughter whereas her own mother never cared about her.
Kanika saw her thinking something and she knew what sitara would be thinking she hugged sitara and said don't worry my love everything will be fine oneday. Sitara was feeling so grateful to have these people around her when her own family treats her like shit. She hugged kanika back.. After sometime ishika came and called them for dinner.. At the dining table, sitara discussed about vedika's party with ishika (kanika's sis).
She told her to go together with her for which ishika agreed and they had their dinner.. Sitara came back to her apartment after having some ice cream and quality time with kanika's family. Sitara checked her phone vedika had texted her in which she had mentioned the party was after 2 days.. At one of the sehrawats hotel at 8 pm. She saw the text and replied gotta! Then went to sleep...
DEVANSH'S POV:
So the day came for which I waited 5 years.. Not only being CEO of sehrawat Enterprises but also being crowned as the new king of mafia... My family do know about it except Mom & bua. Dad decided to celebrate this by throwing a huge party no I wasn't agreeing for it for obvious reasons I don't like to celebrate before doing anything. But dad convinced me saying we can expand the business through this party as he has invited some foreign clients too.
I was in my office busy doing my work as the party was in two days so I had to prepare a project file for the foreign clients. Someone entered my office without asking.. Who the f*ck got the audacity to do it I was ready to shout when I saw Vedansh (his brother) I controlled myself and threw him some glares and said Learn some manners ved atleast knock before entering. Vedansh looked at me then sat on the chair ignoring completely what I said he asked Mamu (Devansh's dad) is organising a party for you. Do you know about it? I answered him yes I know without looking at him my whole focus was the project file.
Bhai actually I need your help.. He said in sweetest voice possible. I looked at him and I know what he's gonna ask for but better to let him ask so I said yah say! He replied bhai please tell mamu I'm not ready to handle everything right now. I stood up from my chair and came towards him standing in front of him I said you know Ved you're so amazing in what you do just try to trust yourself just like dad trust you. He knows you can handle everything that why he made you the CFO of this company.
Ved too stood up, Thank you bhai I'll try my best and hugged me.. I moved away a bit breaking the hug as I said stop mr. Drama I have work to do just go and do yours as well the party is in 2 days only. He showed me his not so pretty smile and left. I too engrossed myself in work.
