Kehar's pov :-

After finishing my meal, I hugged Papa tightly and whispered, "I'm going to sleep now, Papa. You should rest too." With a warm smile, he nodded, and I drifted off to sleep. The next morning, my alarm blared at 8 o’clock. Begrudgingly, I fought off my laziness, dragged myself out of bed, and headed to the washroom to freshen up.

Once I was ready, I went to check on Papa, only to find him in the kitchen, busy making breakfast. I greeted him with a cheerful, "Good morning!" but quickly added, "I don't have time to eat, Papa—I’m already running late!" He turned to me with a stern yet caring look and said, "At least eat one piece of bread, or I won't let you leave."

Reluctantly, I grabbed a slice, wished him goodbye, and darted towards the door. Just as I stepped out, I heard his voice trailing behind me, "At least drink your milk, princess!" I couldn’t help but smile at his unwavering concern as I started my scooter. Suddenly I remembered him...May he is better now...(him is Kanat here)

When I reached the veterinary hospital, I dashed inside to see Mito. The moment I saw her, my heart melted. I scooped her up and gently curled her from head to toe, As the day went by with my usual routine, having Mito by my side made everything feel complete again.

After 2 weeks...

Kanat's pov:-

Two weeks had passed since that incident, and I was feeling better now. Yet, the mystery of that night lingered in my mind. I couldn’t remember the face of the person who saved me—just a hazy silhouette. Thinking about it made my head swirl, and eventually, I drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, soft rays of sunlight kissed my face, waking me gently. I stretched, freshened up, and headed downstairs for breakfast. There, I saw Mom sitting quietly, and, of course, Mr. Workaholic himself—Asil Hidalgo— my father.

With a casual "Good morning, everyone," I greeted them before sitting down to eat. But my mood quickly soured when Dad looked at me and asked, "How’s your health now?"

I froze for a moment, glaring at him with emotionless eyes. Then, with a sarcastic tone, I shot back, "Oh, my health? It’s been almost two weeks, and you’re just asking now?" My voice grew louder as I pushed my chair back, slamming my hands on the table.

Unfazed, he responded coldly, "Behave yourself. I’m more concerned about you than anyone else in this family."

I rolled my eyes, anger bubbling under my skin. "Seriously? That’s why you were off on a business trip with your son, leaving Mom and me here alone?"

Before I could say more, Mom cut in softly, her voice like a balm, "It’s okay, Kaan. It’s not your father’s fault." Her words stung, but I couldn’t stay there. With quick steps, I stormed out of the house.

The fresh air outside barely helped. I needed a distraction—someone to vent to. Without hesitation, I called Samar. "I’m spending the whole day with you today," I declared. Something about his tone lately had been strange—distant, even.

He chuckled on the other end. "Let me guess, you fought with Uncle again?"

Later in the evening, Samar surprised me with an unusual request. "Let’s go to the café," he said.

I raised a brow. "Coffee? Seriously, Samar? What’s this obsession with coffee all of a sudden?"

But then he gave me that puppy-eyed look—the one that always weakened my resolve. With no other choice, I sighed, "Fine, let’s go." He giggled like a child, clearly amused by my reluctance.

As we walked, I couldn’t shake the feeling that something was different about him . Samar, my closest confidant, seemed to be hiding something.

Kehar's pov:-

It had been such a long time since I last saw Aarohi, my best friend—or maybe something more. She’s not only the owner of a charming café but also works there as a waitress. That’s just who she is—ambitious, hardworking, and always teaching her staff how to handle customers with care.

(Arohi's cafe)

Today, I had my usual day shift, but with some extra work piling up, I left in the evening. Despite the long hours, I was excited—I had planned to surprise Aarohi. I could already picture her jumping on me with that infectious energy of hers.

When I reached the café, my eyes fell on a familiar figure—a leaning man. My heart skipped a beat. Could it be him? The man I had taken to the hospital? Before I could fully process, he turned to face me, his deep, warm brown eyes locking onto mine.
(Leaning man is Kanat )

We stared at each other, holding the gaze as if trying to uncover secrets buried in the other’s soul. The intensity was broken when someone interrupted, "Do you two know each other?"

Both of us snapped out of it, looking away awkwardly. In unison, we answered, "No." But my heart whispered otherwise—Maybe, yes.
lowering my eyelashes slightly, then turning my gaze to Aarohi, who was watching the exchange unfold with a confused expression.

With a bright smile, she broke the silence. "By the way, everyone, meet my best friend."--kehar", She gestured toward me before introducing the leaning man and another guy standing beside him. "This is Kanat, and that’s Samar."

Both men smiled and extended their hands toward me. Hesitantly, I shook hands with Samar first,  then with leaning man the moment our hands touched, a shiver ran down my spine. The leaning man, still holding my hand, didn’t let go until Samar cleared his throat and whispered something to him. His face turned emotionless as he glared at Samar before finally releasing my hand.

Before I could process what just happened, Aarohi smacked me on the back. "Finally, Madam ko time mil hi gya apne, kutte billion se!!"..

I turned to her, annoyed. "Shut up, Aarohi. Don’t taunt me like that. And they’re not just "kutte, billiyan" I crossed my arms, looking away dramatically.

She laughed, teasing, "Oh? Then what are they?" Her laughter was contagious, but I glared at her with a deadpan expression, silencing her.

"Do you want coffee?" she finally asked, trying to hold back her giggles.

"Of course," I replied with a broad smile on my face"...

But as I savored the thought of coffee, I felt a piercing glare on me. Turning my head, I met his eyes again—the leaning man’s.

"So, do you like animals?" he asked, his deep voice breaking through the air like a quiet challenge.
