As soon as the word  “I do.”  escaped from Taehyung's lips, Jungkook felt a loud drumbeat echo in his heart. He cast a fleeting glance at Taehyung's heart-stirring face, then quickly turned to his father with fearful eyes. A pale shade washed over Jungkook's face as his father's piercing, fiery gaze struck like a sharp blade. Overwhelmed with fear and worry, he lowered his gaze to the green bedspread adorned with white flowers.

Hoseok, in his stern voice, broke the silence. "Come downstairs. We'll talk there."

Taehyung replied calmly, "Okay."

Jungkook, Lisa, and Hyun were startled. Such cold, normal words! Jung Hoseok, whose face usually displayed anger and arrogance, was speaking so composedly—even after the wedding! Lisa couldn’t understand it. Seeing her husband leave, she approached Taehyung with a worried, helpless face and asked,

"Your uncle won’t create any trouble again, will he?"

"Relax, auntie. Nothing will happen. Your son-in-law didn’t step onto the battlefield unarmed. I’ve come this far with invisible weapons. Don't worry."

Lisa gave a small smile at Taehyung’s words. She had always liked this strong, intelligent boy—not just because he was her son-in-law. From the beginning, she had a soft spot for him. When Taehyung used to scold the mischievous little Jungkook, Lisa had thought that this temperamental, free-spirited boy was perfect for her lively child. Yet at times, the strained relations between their families made her hesitant. But today, seeing how deeply Taehyung loved Jungkook, she resolved not to worry anymore. A sense of relief spread through her heart, bringing unexpected joy and contentment.

"I’ll head downstairs too. A wedding calls for some sweets, doesn’t it? You bring Jungkook down."

As Lisa left, Hyun was going to follow her but Taehyung called out loudly,

"Uncle!"

Hyun turned back with a bright smile spreading across his face. Taehyung approached him with firm steps, wrapping his strong arms around his uncle in a tight hug. His voice, thick with gratitude, said,

"Thank you, uncle. If you hadn’t informed  mom in time, I would’ve lost Jungkook and become a madman roaming in the streets. I love your nephew dearly."

Hyun patted Taehyung’s back and, in a faint voice, replied,

"The pain of losing your Aera still bleeds my heart. I haven’t had a peaceful night’s sleep in years. Every night, I wish for my own end. No beauty in this world fascinates me anymore. Someone took away all my wonder, leaving nothing to enchant me again. Be happy, both of you. Separation isn’t for everyone. Let your purpose be the success of love, not longing. While my world remains colorless without her, your life and love must thrive in vibrant hues."

When everyone had left, Taehyung silently closed the door and said softly,

"Come downstairs, Jungkook. Why are you sitting there like a shy newlywed bride hmm?"

A wave of discomfort spread through Jungkook’s mind and body. As soon as Taehyung's words reached his ears, he jumped off the bed in a fluster state. Confused, he thought,  “Am I not a newlywed? I’ve just been married, after all.”  Yet Taehyung was questioning why he was acting like one. Suddenly, a magical moment formed. Why was Taehyung speaking so mysteriously?

Of course, he was his Taehyungie hyung’s bride now.

Adjusting his clothes, Jungkook pulled the long veil over his face. The jingling sound of his hand accessories echoed beautifully in the stillness of the room, creating a delightful moment. Taehyung scrunched his nose in irritation.
