Becky exited her Uber ride and looked at the club entrance. There was a small line of men and women dressed in nice button downs and short dresses with high heels. She took out her cell phone and texted Billy.
Becky: Hey Billy, I'm here. Should I get in line?
Billy: Awesome, you actually came! I'll be right out.
Becky: OkAfter a couple of minutes, Billy came out with a bright smile as he approached Becky. "Thanks for coming. I have the perfect place for you. Follow me." Becky followed Billy hesitantly into the club full of 20-year-olds, dancing and grinding on each other. The music was loud and the lights were strobing to the beat of the song.
Becky felt a little out of place and wondered if she had made a mistake in coming out. She had told herself she would only be gone for a couple of hours and just needed a little space to have some fun and clear her mind. She figured she would be back before Freen even notice she was gone, either way she was too engrossed in her detective work to even pay attention to her. Billy led her to a small private booth towards the back of the club that had several different kinds of drinks already set at the table. "I'm surprised you came alone." Billy said as he motioned for her to have a seat. He began pouring drinks for her, handing her the glass and pouring one for himself. Becky looked around nervously not knowing Billy had planned on staying. "Oh I don't need a booth, I can stay at the bar. I just need to let out some steam. You really should go and promote the club, don't worry about me." Becky tried to shake him off as she had really planned for a night out alone. She needed some time to let loose and find herself again outside of Freen.
"Nonsense! You're my guest, please sit." He ushered her to a seat and picked up the drink. He put it before him motioning for Becky to follow. She picked it up and air cheers him but did not take the drink. He threw the shot back and smiled at her placing the shot cup down firmly on the table. "I actually need to use the ladies room." She began heading out towards the restroom in hopes of losing him, but Billy followed her. He stood outside of the bathrooms waiting for her as she entered the women's side. She walked in and looked at herself in the dim mirror. She felt guilty and honestly just wanted to be back with Freen. "What was I thinking? I let my anger and ego talk me into this stupid decision" She mumbled to herself. "I'll just leave." She made up her mind to head back to the condo. As she was pulling up the uber app, a beautiful girl walked in and stood next to her. Becky looked up and smiled politely, as the girl looked her up and down and began adjusting her makeup. "Avoiding someone?" Becky looked up surprised and shyly shook her head no. The girl looked up from her mascara wand and smiled. "Looks like it. Why are you holed up in here?" She continued putting on mascara as Becky watched her shyly. "I thought it would be fun to do something crazy like coming here alone, but I think I'm going to end up going home." The girl looked at her sideways and with a disapproving look, shook her head.
"Didn't you just get here?" Becky looked down and nodded. "Exactly. You can't leave now. C'mon live a little." She placed more lipstick on and put everything away. "Come with me." She grabbed Becky's hand and pulled her to the dance floor. There were lots of sweaty guys and girls dancing and grinding on each other all around them as they made their way to the bar. The girl motioned the bartender with a number two and yelled something over the loud music. Becky stood behind the girl looking lost but shortly was handed a cup. "Here, drink this." Becky looked at the red drink in her hand and smelled it. "What is it?" She asked hesitantly. "It's called 'Vampires Kiss'. Taste it."
