Hi Readers,

Becky's POV:
I never expected to see her again, but here we are, in the same room. I long to hug her, but I shouldn't.
Nop asked me to meet Chanmika Industries' client. I initially refused, but he begged, citing his vacation with Irin, my best friend.
When I arrived in London with nothing, they took me in. So I couldn't refuse.
Relieved to meet Kirk, not Freen, fate seemed to reunite us.
Will she realize how much I love her?
During our meeting, she asked why I left. I couldn't reveal the truth – my love would hurt us.
She's married. Is she happy? She vowed not to love anyone, yet...
After the meeting, I ushered her out.
Her pain-filled eyes spoke volumes. As her best friend, I knew her emotions.
Needing a drink, I went to the nearby bar.
Two shots later, commotion erupted. I went to see what it is only to see the person whom I do not want to. Glasses shattered, and Freen's voice pierced the air.
I rushed to calm her.
"I am the only one who can soothe her," I thought.
After failing to obtain her address, I decided to take her to my nearby apartment, a humble abode that held sentimental value as my first home in London, where I started from scratch. Although I now own a mansion, this cozy apartment, with its single bedroom, hall, and kitchen, was conveniently closer to the bar, making it the perfect refuge for Freen.
As I changed her dress, our gazes met.
She sobbed, muttering, "Why did you leave me, Becky?"
My heart aches.
I thought I heard it wrong; Freen never cries.
But here she is, sobbing. Sobbing for me.
I sighed and went to the couch to let sleep take over me but couldn't. She cried. The emotionless Freen cried for me. But still I was not able to smile. It was a pain which erupted in my heart!!
