Sindel heard the bell ring; she opened the door and found Kitana and Jade. She was confused about what they were doing, but she was mad at her daughter for leaving the castle.
"Kitana!? Where are your corsets!?" Sindel asked, confused.
"Forgive me, Your Majesty, but I caught her running off, so I must take her back home safely," Jade said as she was still taking Kitana's side. She wasn't planning to betray her best friend as well.
"Thank you, Jade. You may rest assured." Sindel said as led Kitana and Jade inside the castle. After Jade went to her room, Sindel became super furious at Kitana.
"Reptile! Baraka! Take her to her room! Seal the doors and bar the window! See to it that she doesn't escape again!" Sindel said in anger.
Then Baraka and Reptile dragged her back to the bedroom as Kitana tried to tell Sindel about Shao Kahn's manipulation and lies, but she knew Sindel wouldn't listen because she already had Stockholm syndrome.
After that, Sindel became frustrated, groaning, "Will the mortification never cease? It will be years before we can show ourselves in public again! What shall we do!?"
Shao Kahn made it in time as he came to his wife. "We shall continue as planned, with or without Liu Kang."
Demande appeared again as he approached the King and the Queen. "For that boy to toss aside a young woman like Kitana, it's positively criminal." He began to make his move as he continued, "Why, if I had a woman like your daughter on my arm, I would lavish her with riches befitting royalty."
"Your lady wife is a most fortunate woman," Sindel said.
"Alas, I am not married. I was betrothed some years ago, but tragedy snatched my young bride away. When one lives alone, wealth counts for naught." Demande said.
At that moment, Sindel and Shao Kahn came up with a brilliant idea as they looked at each other.

Kitana was trying to figure out how to unlock the door, so she could escape again. Suddenly, the doorknob began to move, and Kitana stepped back immediately. When the door opened, Sindel and Shao Kahn had a smile on their faces.
"Malicious news, Kitana! There'll be a wedding, after all." Shao Kahn said.
"You found Liu Kang!?" Kitana said, surprised.
"Make haste, my dear. Our relatives will be arrive at any moment. We must have you looking presentable for Prince Demande." Sindel said.
At that moment, Kitana felt her heart was shattered. She felt her stomach twisted, feeling sick right now.
"Prince Demande...?"
"He will make a fine husband," Sindel said.
"Yes, a fortuitous turn of events indeed," Shao Kahn said.
"A far better prospect this time," Sindel said.
"But I do not love him. You cannot make me do this!" Kitana said with a sorrowful look.
"We must," Shao Kahn said.
"Please, I beg you! There must be another way!" She cried out.
"Without your marriage to Prince Demande, we shall be forced to take over Earthrealm." Shao Kahn said.
"But... Liu Kang..."
"Liu Kang is gone, child," Sindel said before she and Shao Kahn left the room.
"You shall marry Prince Demande tomorrow," Shao Kahn said.
"According to plan!" Shao Kahn and Sindel said at the same time. Then Shao Kahn slammed the door shut, leaving Kitana desperate.
After the discussion, they went back to their bedroom. Demande let out an evil smirk as he walked through the hallway where he found the picture of Kitana.
He let out an evil chuckle. "Oh, my dear, don't look at me that way. You have only to suffer the union until death do us part. And that will come sooner than you think."
