The portal tore open like jagged glass through fragile fabric, spilling
Delta!Sans ,a Sans who was not quite experienced in Au-hopping just yet..into a world where silence reigned supreme. snowdin laid before him, but it was a hollow twisted version of itself, smothered under an oppressive weight that choked the very air. The cold nipped at his bones, but not in a way that felt natural..it was sharp invasive almost predatory.
Delta adjusted his gauntlets, their black-heart designs pulsing faintly with energy. His sharp orange eyes scanned the desolate streets slitted pupils flickering with a faint glow. Snow blanketed the ground, marred by streaks of crimson that seeped into the earth like spilled ink. The sight set his jaw tight.

“Well,” he muttered, his voice calm but edged with a weariness that was becoming all too familiar, “This doesn't seem like the place Epic wanted to meet up...this definitely isn't Outertale..”  Delta grumbled sarcastically to himself.
But this place felt..diifferent...worse..but not as bad as that insanity guys place from before. The usual chaotic energy of an unstable alternate universe wasn’t here. Instead, the atmosphere clung to him like a second skin heavy and foreboding. He moved cautiously, his black boots crunching over snow that seemed louder than it should have been. "Hopefully, I don't run into any freaks.. I need to recharge before hopping off to another au.." he grumbled, his phalanges tapped on his mandible, a habit he does when he realizes something.

The stillness was unnerving. Snowdin’s usual charm was long gone; buildings stood dark and empty, their once welcoming signs faded and tattered. A faint metallic scent lingered in the air and every step he took felt like it echoed in a void.

Delta stopped abruptly, his senses prickling. There was something here..something faint but unmistakable.A fragmented soul signature flickered at the edges of his awareness , unstable and dripping with malice. He instinctively reached up to adjust his turtleneck his fingers brushing over the glowing orange heart embedded in his chest.
“Great,” he muttered under his breath. “Creepy vibes and ghost signatures...Just what I needed...”

And as he moved deeper into the town, the oppressive silence seemed to stretch further each second dragging like hours. Then, without warning a sound broke the stillness a single, deliberate crunch of snow.

Delta froze, his eyes snapping to the source. From the shadows of an alley, a figure stepped forward.
Murder Sans emerged with an unnatural stillness, his movements smooth but deliberate like a predator stalking its prey. His hoodie was tattered and stained, the frayed edges swaying gently in the bitter wind. The hood was pulled low casting most of his face in shadow. Only the faint glint of his skeletal grin and the edges of his sockets were visible streaked with grey-silver lines that ran down his cheekbones like tears..

He didn’t carry any weapons, but the sheer weight of his presence was enough to make Delta tense. Murder stopped a few feet away, his head tilting ever so slightly.

“Another me,” he said softly, his voice low and even, devoid of emotion. “You don’t see that every day.”

Delta kept his stance relaxed, though every muscle in his body was coiled tight. “Yeah, lucky me,” he said, keeping his tone light. “Though I gotta say, you’ve got the whole ‘creepy loner’ thing down pat. Hood and all but not as creepy as the one I met before you...”
Murder’s grin didn’t waver. “Funny,” he murmured, his voice quiet but cutting. “You’ll need more than jokes to get out of this.”

Delta’s orange eyes flickered as he straightened, his gauntlets sparking faintly. “You’ve got a lot of confidence for a guy lurking in an empty town. What’s your deal, anyway? Bad breakup? Lost your hoodie in the wash?”

For a moment, Murder was silent. Then he took a single step forward, his movements unnervingly calm. “This world... it’s mine now” he said, his tone soft but resolute. “And you? You don’t belong here. But I can feel..that soul of yours..see it..how unusual.”

Delta’s chest tightened slightly, but he kept his composure. “You’re a little too interested in my soul for my comfort. Maybe try asking for my name first? It's Delta..by the way. Just because I know for a fact you won't ask. ”

Murder tilted his head, the faint glow of his sockets flickering from under the hood. “It’s not quite a monster soul, and it's orange."  he murmured, almost to himself. "Burning bright... but there’s something else. A human soul, isn’t it?but your monster soul is also there, inside of it..how..quint.”
Delta’s hands clenched at his sides, the glow of his gauntlets intensifying. “And if it is?”

Murder’s grin widened ever so slightly. “You have no idea what you’re carrying, do you?” he said softly. “The power, the LV... the EXP. I’ve seen it all before. And you? You’d be more than enough to finish this. To make everything..rIgHt.”  He stated almost maniacally, laughing.

Delta’s expression darkened. “Right? You call this mess ‘RiGhT'..Hate to break it to you, but I’m not signing up for your ‘fix the world’ plan.”

Murder didn’t respond immediately. Instead, he moved forward with slow deliberate steps, the snow crunching under his feet. His head tilted again, the hood casting a shadow over his face. “You don’t get it,” he said, his voice barely above a whisper. “This isn’t a plan. It’s a purge. And you?” He stopped his sockets glinting faintly. “You’re just another step.”
Delta raised his gauntlets, his sharp orange eyes locked on the figure before him. “You talk a lot for someone who’s about to get his skull handed to him.”

The faintest chuckle escaped Murder’s mouth. “We’ll see.”

Without warning, Murder darted forward, his movements unnaturally smooth and silent

Without warning, Murder darted forward, his movements unnaturally smooth and silent. Delta barely had time to react summoning a pair of Gaster Blasters that fired orange beams in rapid succession.

Murder weaved through the attacks with inhuman precision his form flickering like a shadow. He closed the distance in an instant, his hand striking out and narrowly grazing Delta’s side.

The force of the blow sent Delta skidding back, his boots carving tracks in the snow. “Okay, not bad,” he muttered, shaking off the impact. “But I’ve seen creepier.”

Murder didn’t respond. He simply stood there, his grin fixed in place his sockets faintly glowing under the shadow of his hood.

Delta launched himself forward with his Delta Jet, propelling into the air as he unleashed a barrage of orange projectiles. Murder didn’t dodge this time. Instead, he raised a hand summoning a faint ripple in the air that absorbed the attacks like water swallowing a stone.

Delta landed lightly, his eyes narrowing. “Cute trick. Got any others, or is brooding your specialty?”

Murder’s grin widened slightly, the flickering glow of his sockets intensifying. “You’re stalling,” he said, his voice calm. “But it won’t matter. The human soul inside youuu..it’s already enough. You just don’t know it yet.”

Delta’s chest tightened, the glow of his heart flickering faintly through his turtleneck. “Yeah, well, I’m not in the mood for a science lesson,” he said, summoning another pair of Gaster Blasters. “Let’s cut to the part where you lose.”

The air grew colder, the oppressive weight of the world pressing down harder as the fight continued. Murder moved with an eerie precision, his attacks silent and relentless. Delta fought back with calculated strikes, his gauntlets glowing brighter with each blow.

But even as he held his own, a gnawing unease crept into Delta’s mind.this wasn’t just a fight it was a test , and he wasn’t sure he was passing.
