Wanda was woken by the sound of thudding, it sounded like it was just outside their window.

"What was that?"

Wanda asked as the thudding continued, using her magic to turn on the light that sat atop the nightstand. Then she turned it off, and then back on and then back off again, finally waking up her husband vision who pulled his eye mask off.

"Wanda?"

Vision asked his wife, he had very much noticed her turning the light on and off.

"Yes, dear?"

Wanda responded, she for some reason had already propped herself up with pillows while her husband was still properly laying down.

"Are you using your powers to turn on the light?"

Vision asked his wife, little did the pair know their daughter was at the door listening to their conversation.

"Yes, dear."

Wanda said but this time it wasn't a question, but a statement.

"Allow me, sweetheart."

Vision told his wife, turning on the light and getting up as the thudding on the window continued. Vision looking out the window but seeing nothing that could be causing that thudding noise. Alice wanted to giggle because she knew it was her friend Inez moving the branch but she promised not to get caught listening because Inez wanted to hear the Maximoff's reaction to the whole thing.

"What do you see?"

Alice then heard her mother ask her father, as she bit her lip containing her laughter.

"Only your lovely rose bushes."

Vision told his wife, Inez making sure not to move the branches while the man looked outside, she'd also made herself invisible, something Alice made her promise to teach her later.

"That's all?"

Wanda asked, she felt like there should be something else out there and there was they just couldn't see it.

"Are you using your night vision, Vision?"

Wanda queried, a confused look descending on Alice's face, her father had night vision, what kind of man was he.

"I assure you, my love, I see nothing amiss. You have absolutely no reason to be frightened-"

Vision said turning his back the window, which meant that Inez could start moving the branches again. Alice had to try exceptionally hard to try not to laugh at the noise her father made when the branch hit the window again. The man immediately climbed back into bed getting a look out of his wife, as he tried to hide under the covers.

"You were saying?"

Wanda said, Alice almost letting out a laugh as her mother said this to her father but somehow managed to control herself.

"Actually, I did overhear a couple of lads at work remarking on a few unsavoury characters settling into the neighbourhood. Now, who knows what those ne'er-do-wells might be up to?"

Vision told his wife, not realising those people were most definitely talking about him and his family and possibly the Harkness's.

"Robbing houses, vandalising property."

Vision then went on to answer his own question, before Wanda spoke up.

"Walking through walls, moving objects without touching them, aging themselves up 6 years."

Wanda continued her husband's line of answering, making the point that it was almost definitely about them.

"Wanda, darling, you can't be suggesting my colleagues were referring to us."
