I sit on the couch as I watch Zayn play his video game on the TV. It's some new one that he's playing any chance he gets. Yesterday the boys did press all day for their new movie. This evening is their world premiere and tomorrow we fly to LA for a week.

It's like the band grows bigger everyday. These days we're on the road all the time. Whether it be tour or award shows, there's something scheduled for everyday. When we get to LA they have shows to play at, but they are also finishing on recording their third album.

I scrunch my nose in disgust when Zayn stabs two zombies in the chest with a knife. That's disgusting.

"What's with the face, Emy?" Zayn laughs at me without taking his eyes off the screen.

"I just don't understand what the appeal is for this game. All you're doing is killing zombies and having their guts splatter everywhere," I say taking my eyes off the messy screen.

"I'm killing zombies, that's what the appeal is," He says as if that's the most obvious answer.

"Em's never been one for gory stuff," I hear my childhood best friend speak up from across the room. "Remember the first time we watched Saw? You couldn't even make it through the whole movie," he laughs.

"Yes, I remember," I sarcastically smile at him.

He lays his arm on the back of the couch to sort of lay it around his girlfriend, Eleanor. She's nice, but we don't really talk to each other. It's always awkward when I try to talk to her for some reason.

Louis and I have been friends since we were born basically. I was born a couple days after him, our mum's are best friends, we grew up as next door neighbor's, and our younger sister's are best friends as well.

When Louis auditioned for X-Factor, I was so proud of him for taking a step in following his dream. I never knew what my dream job was, I honestly still don't. I didn't know if I should go to Uni or try to get a job after I graduated. I only went to Uni for a short while before the boys got off X-Factor.

The boys all wanted me to come on tour with them because we all got really close after the band was formed, but their label said I couldn't because I was just their friend, if they let me go, they have to let everyone go. That's when the boys came up with the bright idea to make me their "assistant."

They don't really let me do anything, even though it's important for me to do my job as their assistant because that's what the label is paying me for. If they find out I'm not working, they'll fire me. I basically help out wherever I can. Usually with Lou, I'll help with the hair and makeup. Sometimes I'll work with Caroline to help with the boys' clothes.

My best friend, Amelia, graduated from Uni a couple months ago with a degree in fashion, so I worked my magic and got her a job as Caroline's assistant.

Amelia has known me my whole life, just like Louis. I'm happy that I get to work with her because otherwise we wouldn't ever get to see each other.

I really only get to see my family the same time the boys do, which is mainly holidays. My mum, dad, and younger sister still live next door to Louis's family, so when we get to go home we all get together as much as possible.

"Would anyone like a slice of pizza?" Niall asks as he walks into the room holding a box of pizza.

"Oh," Zayn scoffs. "You're actually going to share this time?"

"If you don't want any, just say that," Niall shrugs as he takes the seat on the couch next to me.

"Mil?" He holds the box of pizza in front of me.
