Amara lifts her head up to gather her senses. Her head is having a fight with her left leg for who can hurt the most, her ears ringing. She's not where she was just a moment ago? Neither are her friends. What happened to make her be here? When she gets to her feet she walks up a short grass hill and is greeted with the site of a citadel, a civilization of stone. Looking at the banners flowing from the rooftops she makes a questionable observation.
"This has to be some sort of dream." She says under her breath.
She paces back and forth for a bit before becoming alert, she remembers that she needs to find where everyone else ended up.
Cassius crashes down, avoiding damage to his legs by catching his fall with his face.. upon some empty dirt road, barely managing to catch himself. He let's out a deep grunt as the sharp feeling of the gravel surges through him. He begins to gain his bearings when he notices he too isn't where he just was. Cas was alone. Not a singe soul was around, on a long dirt path in the middle of nowhere.
“Hello?!” He shouts.
“HELLO!” He yells again.
He says it one more time but the words barely escape his mouth as a whimper.
He did not know what to do, he'd always relied on his friends to come up with the best course of action, he was just good with maps and history. Hardly enough to explain teleportation. The best thing for him to do is to just walk down the path. Luckily there were very few clouds overhead and he could see the sun clearly. Walking north for miles, he still hadn't seen even a single building yet. However that would soon change when upon the hill furthermore north he sees a figure, and the figure sees him. They are waving at him, arms stretched above their head. Cas cups his hands around the corners of his mouth.
“Hey! Over here” He called out.
“I'm lost, could you tell me where I am?” He continues. However, when he jogs closer he sees that familiar green poncho known to be worn by Amara. Could it be? Was she teleported too? They both start to run to each other, arms outstretched. Something miraculous happen, but that doesn't matter right now, they need to find Victor.
However, before they can think about their next course of action they see a small battalion of guards with spears and shields in hand pacing towards them.
The Roman guards form a circle surrounding the two.
"Dic negotia tua et quid domine colis!" One of the many men shout.
Cas and Amara have no idea what he is saying, same as the monolith they cannot understand the language.
Cassius with his arms up, hands trying to touch the stars, shouts back at the guardsmen.
"I'm sorry! I can't understand you."
The guards all look at each other with confusion on their faces. Thats when one of them says something and points at both Cas and Amara, two men then grab the pair by the arm and lead them to the city.
Walking into the city they were introduced to a market packed full of people. Vendors selling breads and fish, customers trading in gold coins. It almost reminded Cas and Amara of back home with how packed the streets were. Once people started noticing the guards escorting them, the people stopped everything, and all of a sudden over a hundred people were staring at Amara and Cas, people not of this time, of course the people don't know that yet, they just see two strange people in weird garments.
