It was 7:40 AM in the US, Arianna and Alexander were on their way to school, while in Hong Kong it was 11:40 PM. Thankfully, some of her dojo stayed up late sometimes. So she was busy texting them.

Arianna

First day of school,

And this is not what I mean when I said I wanted to study abroad.

Zara

Are American schools seriously that bad?

Arianna

Well, I'm just guessing.

I have to go to basic public school,

Because the nearest private school is two towns over.

Axel

It cannot be that bad, right?

Zara

Wishing you good luck, Arianna!

Axel

I wish you good luck as well.

Yumei

I need to go to sleep soon, but good luck, Mei Mei.

Arianna

Goodnight!

And thank you to all of you.

Everyone knew, that if there was one thing Arianna hated, it was basic and boring schools. And Alexander hated them ever more, he said that "only poor people go to public schools". However, she was glad to at-least know someone who goes to that school.

If he could, Axel would stay up all night talking to Arianna. But they were not even close enough to do that. He rolled over in his bed, he'd known Arianna for years. She was quiet, but sweet, kind, and gentle. And Axel knew that she'd never like him. He did get the chance to talk to her when they met for the first time. They became quite close but then they just kind of stopped talking as much.

When he and her were alone, Arianna would go quiet. Probably because she didn't want to talk to him. At first he only saw Arianna as a friend but he soon realized he had feelings for her, he was always craving and yearning for her attention. He wanted to be noticed by her, but she never really paid attention to him. Still, she was always so nice to him.

Alexander sighed, "I can't believe I have to spend like half of my senior year in some school in the middle of nowhere." Alexander complained to Arianna, as he dramatically looked out the window. "Well no, we're not in the middle of nowhere. And more than half of the school year has passed." Arianna corrected Alexander, snapping Alexander's sad and dramatic moment.

Alexander looked at Arianna with an offended look. "Let me have my moment, will you?" Alexander rolled his eyes with clear annoyance, before looking dramatically out the window.

"Whatever, I was just saying." Arianna mumbled, going back to thinking about Axel. It was strange, but he was the person she missed the most. She just missed seeing him. If Arianna was shy, Axel was even shyer. He talked, but only a little bit. Arianna was pretty outgoing and sometimes extroverted, she wasn't scared to talk to people. But whenever it came to Axel, it was like suddenly she had forgotten basic conversation skills.

"You know, I think there's an ulterior motive to this vacation." Alexander told Arianna, who rolled her eyes. "What are you talking about? Why do you always act like we're in a movie?" Arianna asked with an irritated tone. Her brother was so nauseating.
