Yellow
It's been weeks since our first date. I learned so much about him and since then the three of us have been having breakfast together every other day, either my house or theirs. Why breakfast? It's the only time of the day we're free, Rory in school, War either practice or game day and me writing the whole day locked up in my office.
We've been taking things slow for now, War and I try not to be affectionate when Rory is around just stealing kisses when Rory isn't looking or not in the same room. She's my first worry, and priority. I don't want her to be heartbroken when this won't work out. This little girl has been through a lot. I don't want to be another woman who will leave her when this won't work. It's just not hers will break but mine too.
"Miss Yellow, will you be going to watch daddy's game tomorrow? You can sit with me and momma." Rory asks while we're having breakfast at my house.
I took a glance at War first then at Rory he was smiling anticipating my answer. "I would love too little sun." I told her.
"Really! Yay! Tomorrow is also daddy's birthday, but he has a game so I'll be watching with momma." she says, it is his birthday tomorrow and did not tell me really? I turn my gaze at him again and I shoot him glare. He mouthed 'what?' We definitely need to talk.
I turned again to Rory "Really, I did not know that, do you have a plan to celebrate your dad's birthday?"
She looked at her dad and then to me "Daddy's game ends late. He said we can celebrate it on the weekend with uncles at the house."
"That's a great plan I told her."
It's time for them to go or Rory will be late. They both went out the house, thought they already went, but Warrick went back grinning wide.
"You did not tell me" I told him, I'm not mad, maybe sulking a little. It's his birthday tomorrow and I just learned about it today.
"In my defense I thought you already know"
"Well, I don't. Why would you think that I knew?" I ask him
He walks closer to me and shrugs "Maybe you looked up on me on google, you know google knows everything." he says
"I don't do that." true though I don't search him in google not everything in google is true. "I don't know what to give you, I just have a day to think about it." I told him
He held me in my elbows, his eyes searching mine "You don't have to give me anything Heart. Just being present tomorrow at the game will be enough. You and Rory." He says. "I have to go or else Rory will be late, I came back for this" then he kissed me. I felt him smile between our kisses. The kiss wasn't long
"Have a great day, be safe on your way and your practice." I remind him as I walk him out
"Indeed, a great day already, we'll see you later Heart." he replied, Rory waved to me from the car. I watched them drive away. I can definitely watch them go in the morning then come back home every evening.
I went back inside the house and went to the office. I was sitting in front of my computer but I couldn't think of anything to write. My mind is what I should get for Warrick. I know he told me I don't need to get him anything, but I want to. I picked up my phone beside the computer and sent a message to A.L.
Me: What are you doing today? Are you free?
