Yellow
Dad and Warrick return after their conversation, and judging by their expressions, I assume it went well. They were grinning.
Warrick approached me and kissed my temple, saying, "I'll see you later, okay?" I nod, then turn to face my dad and Nana, he continued. "My pleasure meeting you both, I'll give you privacy now." He said and exited the house.
As soon as Warrick left "I like that man, little girl." Nana says, even though she just had little time with War, but still, she means it genuinely.
"He's nothing but respectful sunshine" dad added thank God they like Warrick.
"He is dad"
"Don't tell him I'm a fan," Dad said, I'm kind of surprised I never knew about this.
"You are? Really, I never saw you watch a basketball game when I was a kid nor when I was a teen."
Nana and dad chuckle. I didn't say anything funny, didn't I? "Sunshine it's because when you were a kid you locked up yourself in your room with your books and also when you were a teen it's either you are at school, your room or in the kitchen with your mom baking."
Oh right, it's always me and the books or me and mom teaching me to bake.
"Oh yeah right. So you are his fan?"
"I mean I'm always a Grizzly Bear fan, but can you blame me? Have you seen him play sunshine? He's every team nightmare these days, that's why I am shocked to see him here at your house and that he is your boyfriend and also for a fact that you dislike sports. How come you met him?"
"First dad I have to agree with you dad that he is a dangerous man on the court, second, I don't dislike sports, I just was not entertained by it before." I pause to look at their reaction, especially my father. "Well, we met here" I say and tell them the story from A.L forcing me to watch with her in Luke's game up to how I found out we were neighbors when I moved here the next day.

Then we decided to eat out for lunch while waiting for our food to be served. "So why did both of you decide to visit me?" I ask, I mean I know they missed me, but I know my Nana or my dad so well, they won't make surprise visits.
As Dad drank a lot of water, Nana suddenly looked anxious and sighed deeply. I was aware. They have something to say.
"What is it?" I ask, try myself ready to any bomb they will drop and I bet all my money on my savings it's going to be about Shawn and Bettina.
"So...ummm..." dad looks at me with a sad smile. "Ma, I can't do it." He told Nana
Nana have a same sad smile, I fucking knew it. "Yellow, I don't want to shock you once you receive it so we're just giving you a heads up. Bettina is pregnant, and they are getting married"
What? Pregnant? Getting Married?
Wow. Just Wow. I'm speechless.
I faced my grandma and asked "You allowed it?" I mean, not being the villain in their story, not that I want their baby not to have a complete family, it's just I still feel betrayed.
"If you're going to ask me I won't know if Bettina is not pregnant, but Yellow, pregnant or not whatever I say you know very well that in the end it will be their choice and decision."
