I had no choice but to sign that contract. I was exhausted.I sat at the edge of the living room while people moved around, wondering how I was going to leave this place.
A big man was sitting not far from me. He was watching me. I knew what it meant. They wanted to make sure that I didn't run off. I wanted to sleep, but this wasn't a safe place.
"Mrs. Ravazzani," I looked up. A man in grey suit, tall and brown called me. It was still strange to realize I was married.
Well I was married to days ago when Romeo held me at gun point. But this?! It was different. My husband was alive, well younger and hotter may I add than Romeo.
Well, he also seemed to think I prostitute and hated me. I took in a deep breath.
"Don Ravazzani asked me to get you, he is leaving for your residence."
My resident. I don't even want to get into it. I nodded and stood. I wanted to cry, and sleep.
The letter had a small writing from my sister, so Romeo knew where she was. I wanted to know what she was doing.
I stood up and followed the man out of the house. Many of the family members were still around, talking. They were all strangers to me. I just wanted to be alone, to process my thoughts. How did Romeo know me?! How did he know Dolly and I?! Why does he have a handwriting letter from my sister?!
On the bottom he told me to sign it. He had all this plan, he almost made me wonder if he was truly dead. Throughout this debacle, I didn't see his dead body. For a man shreaded in mystery, I will not be surprised if he wasn't dead and was just faking it but what exactly was his end goal?!
We walked out of the mansion, more like castle. I had never been to a place as beautiful as that before in my life.
Giovanni was standing on the side, talking to his cousin, Luca. I walked toward him. He turned to me, and his blue eyes ran all over me. I swallowed, his gaze was making me nervous. I was not really happy about this arrangement but he seemed to despise me so much.
"Thank you, Luca, I will be in touch," Giovanni muttered.
From the amount of wealth, the shady contract, and the guns I have seen today, I knew that this was more than just a wealthy family. They were the mafia themselves. Which itself was terrifying. I wanted to know how Dolly or myself got tied up in the mafia business, how can I leave?!
Giovanni walked toward me, I blinked and flinched when he placed his hand behind my back. My heart raced and his scent filled my nostrils. When we were not yelling and screaming at each other, I noticed how fine he was.
It was not something I wanted to admit but he was a very beautiful man. Blue eyes, brunette hair, full lips, and a beautiful sculpted face. He was a foot taller than me which made it a little annoying. He was bigger also. Muscles everywhere and a strong body. A stubble covered half his face and it looked good on him.
"Common," he muttered, bringing me out of reverie, we walked toward the waiting car.
A large SUV, waiting with three other smaller ones. A man opened the door for us, I attempted to climb in but it was a little difficult because of the sheer size of the car. Giovanni took my hand and helped me into the car. I mumbled a quick thank you and took my seat. He didn't pay any heed but closed the car door.
The driver was the man in the living room with me. He moved the car as soon as we were settled. I leaned back into my car seat trying to get some rest now. I wondered what would happen if we got to the penthouse. We got married through a contract but we are strangers to each other. It happened suddenly that there was no time to think.
