Prologue

it was rather cold outside much more cold than it's ever been. It was usually such a warm place but lately the snow has been piling up so much more.
You were a thief, a beggar someone who had fell on such unfortunate times and the cold did not help you still whatever you could from food clothing, anything that would get you through this seemingly sudden winter in since the people of black Rock we're not used to this type of cold. New stuff was hastily thrown out some scrapped winter jackets, which were sewn together hastily once people were able to get their bearings.
You stole one of these jackets were not in shape or form, but it worked.

only a few people actually knew of you and even less of those people knew of the criminal record you had.
you went to the back of the local bakery and stole some of the food that was still packaged except it didn't sell very well. It was a waste of food in your opinion, and there was so much of it your leather and space you don't know when you'll find extra like this again.
A few other things like some stolen pocket warmers and things like that remain in your bag, but it's not too interesting
as you were scrolling through the alleyway, you heard some voices so you began to hide
some of the folks were beginning to talk about this royal ball. We're all sorts of noble will be there and how they wonder if the king is looking for the queen or something else like that. .

??? "so do you think the king is looking for someone to possibly date?. I mean lately he's been acting so I don't think he would be ready for any of this kind of stuff. "

??? 2"yeah I don't think it's for the dating. Maybe it's just trying to meet up with the other Nobles I mean I even heard some of the other guard talking about how cold he's been acting lately usually he's such a good guy... "
??? 1"I know the king takes his meetings very seriously, especially with other Nobles probably gonna start preparing now. The events in like two days.."
??? 2 "oh dear, those chef are going to have to work extra hard if they don't want to get thrown out I want to get on the bad side, especially when other coming around. especially if that could make you look bad in front of the other nobles. I heard if you get talked about too badly, you don't really come back.. "

that was all you needed to hear if it took the king a while to get everything prepared you should have more than enough time to sneak in and steal some of that food for yourself and with how much the chef they're going to be prepared there's no way he's going to miss one piece of food risky stealing from the king, but that would guarantee warm food for at least a month maybe more depending on how much you were about to steal you just had to get in and out quickly because if you get caught, who knows what would happen.
