Cultivators aren't immortals. Essentially, they're just stronger humans. Even if touched by celestial dust, a worm can't transform into a dragon. Ye Wenxin watched the fight with boredom as Cangyu Sect members intervened.

Causing trouble on Cangyu Sect's turf was a blatant affront. However, the two fighters were skilled, and the ordinary Cangyu Sect disciples weren't their match.

The commotion grew, and the crowd reveled in Cangyu Sect's frustration. Ye Wenxin even suspected the two sects were collaborating to mock Cangyu Sect's fragile claim as the top sect.

Amidst the chaos, a clear voice rang out.

Within seconds, a figure stood between the fighters. She wielded two massive axes, contrasting sharply with her graceful figure. Her swings easily deflected their attacks, scolding them, "Ignorant fools, how dare you act out at Cangyu Sect!"

"It's Gu Xiangsi from the Disciplinary Hall!"

"Sister Gu is here!"

Someone immediately recognized the woman as Gu Xiangsi, whom Ye Wenxin hadn't seen in a while.

Now Gu Xiangsi was the prized disciple of the Disciplinary Hall elder, wielding divine axes, her cultivation having advanced from the Qi Refining stage to the fifth level of Foundation Establishment.

Her axe swings emanated killing intent, revealing her rapid growth in both temperament and strength. Ye Wenxin couldn't help but think of Gu Aotian, the destined hero, wondering if he was still off somewhere with Heitong, stealing things.

In that moment, Ye Wenxin thought she saw a figure resembling Gu Aotian deftly untying a storage pouch from someone before quickly vanishing.

Soon after, he reappeared in front of another person.

Ye Wenxin didn't know whether to feel comforted or amused, as Gu Xiangsi had already subdued the two disciples, leaving them groaning in pain on the ground.

Such a powerful presence, she wondered if Gu Xiangsi had overcome her fear of men.

Distracted, Ye Wenxin suddenly felt Gu Xiangsi's gaze. Instinctively, Ye Wenxin avoided eye contact, worried Gu Xiangsi might get too excited and rush over.

Fortunately, Gu Xiangsi merely glanced at her, scanning the surroundings as if searching for someone else.

Perhaps for Gu Aotian, or maybe during Ye Wenxin's absence, Gu Xiangsi had gained countless admirers.

Ye Wenxin felt a twinge of sadness, but she had too many concerns to add another, so she didn't approach.

Instead, another familiar face approached.

"Miss Wenxin, it's been a long time," the woman greeted, her appearance charming and familiar.

"And you are?" Ye Wenxin couldn't help but ask, struggling to recall this familiar face.

"Miss Wenxin, you do have a selective memory. I'm Su Mei," the woman reminded her, and Ye Wenxin finally remembered the woman who shared her ice physique.

Su Mei was so low-key that Ye Wenxin hadn't paid her much attention, leading to this awkward moment.

"Oh, I remember now, fellow ice physique," Ye Wenxin smiled, hinting at their shared trait.
