	2.	Jake: Alex's best friend. Jake is a tall, lanky boy with messy hair who is on the football team. He is a loyal and supportive friend who is always there for Alex.
	3.	Lily: Alex's crush and later girlfriend. Lily is a beautiful girl with long, flowing hair and a smile that could light up a room. She is kind, intelligent, and has a great sense of humor.
	4.	Mr. Henderson: Alex's math teacher. Mr. Henderson is a stern-looking man with a thick mustache who is strict but fair.
	5.	Mrs. Thompson: Alex's English teacher. Mrs. Thompson is a kind and energetic woman who makes the class interesting.
	6.	Ms. Garcia: Alex's science teacher. Ms. Garcia is a young and enthusiastic woman who makes the class fun.
	7.	The Principal: The principal of Westwood High School. The principal is a strict but fair man who is dedicated to maintaining discipline and order at the school.
	8.	Sarah: Alex's friend. Sarah is a smart and funny girl who is always there to support Alex.
	9.	The Manager: The manager of the ice cream parlor where Alex works. The manager is a kind and patient man who is always willing to help his employees.
	10.	The Director: The director of the school play. The director is a talented and passionate woman who is dedicated to putting on a great show.
The sun blazed brightly as 14-year-old Alex stepped onto the campus of Westwood High for the first time. Nervous butterflies fluttered in their stomach. The hallways were a chaotic maze of unfamiliar faces. Alex clutched their schedule tightly, hoping to find their first class without getting too lost. They accidentally bumped into a tall, lanky boy with messy hair. "Sorry!" they blurted out. The boy just grinned and said, "No worries, newbie. I'm Jake. What's your name?" Alex introduced themselves, and suddenly the daunting first day didn't seem so bad.
As they walked to their first class together, Jake pointed out all the important places - the cafeteria, the library, and the gym. Alex listened intently, grateful for the newfound friend. When they reached their math class, they said goodbye to Jake and took a deep breath before entering. The teacher, Mr. Henderson, was a stern-looking man with a thick mustache. He began the class by going over the syllabus, and Alex tried their best to focus. But their mind kept wandering back to the new people they had met and the adventures that awaited them in high school.
After math class, Alex had English. The teacher, Mrs. Thompson, was a kind and energetic woman who made the class interesting. She assigned a writing assignment on the first day, asking the students to write about their hopes and dreams for high school. Alex thought hard about what they wanted to achieve in the next four years. They wanted to make more friends, join the art club, and maybe even try out for the school play.
The rest of the day passed in a blur. Alex met more new classmates, some friendly and some not so much. By the end of the day, they were exhausted but excited for what the future held. As they walked home, they couldn't help but smile, knowing that high school was going to be a wild ride.
