"Red or a different color?" whispered a small girl. Though her favorite color was red a brown hood blended in better.

She was a small child almost 8, and wanted to go outside, but since she was a noble she wasn't allowed to go outside even though her books had always mentioned how beautiful it was out there. There was something called a beach out there that had water that moved by itself from one side to another and smelled like salt unlike the one put into her food, that was how the maid described it when reading at least.

The maid had shown her stories of wonderous, fantastical worlds with marvelous sights to see, one of them being about a princess who had escaped her castle by tying her dresses into a rope.

Her home was not a castle but had two floors, her room being at the back corner of the second floor. The room had a balcony on which the little girl could see a forest that was next to her home, of course nothing ever happened in those woods, but the birds chirping reminded her of the fantastical stories and from the balcony she tied the dress.

Down and down, she went until she reached the bottom.

This was the first time she touched that green stuff outside. It felt weird, like an odd cloth that felt unique on her skin.

She continued next to the wall of her home and could see further ahead now it was a field in front of the house.

There was a main path which she followed, no one paid much attention to her, they were all busy removing the weeds and cutting wheat and she had a basket with her that made her look like she was making a delivery for the family. The small girl with a brown hood and a basket filled with cookies made it to the bridge and crossed a river leading to more of that path. It separated from there and she decided to go to the left path.

It was becoming darker and a bit chillier, but it was summer and not snowing yet, though she was a bit hungry from just eating cookies. The maid always told her never to eat a lot of cookies at once, so she went to a tree with many curves and bends and went to its roots. So the girl fell asleep there, and the girl's name was Akazukin Oritsu Ketto.
