Chapter 3
*** I used words from the movie***
I started walking onto the train, looking for a compartment to sit in. The only one left was with two girls in it, one girl had curly brown hair with glasses, the other girl had straight blue hair with glasses. I open the door and asked
" Hi. Can i maybe sit in here with you guys?"
" Sure, I'm Sam." said the girl with curly hair and glasses.
"Hey I'm Karen." said the other girl with blue hair and glasses, as I sat down on the left of her.
" I'm Rachel. Are you guys first years too? "
"Yeah" they said at the same time.
"Cool. Do you wonder what house your gonna be in? "
"I want to be in Gryffindor." Sam said.
"Me too!" Karen said.
" Really I do too, and sorry I'm asking a lot of questions, I'm just excited." I said.
"No it's ok, I'm excited too." Karen said.
"Yeah it's ok, I'm also excited." Sam said.

We talked until Hogwarts came into view.
"Well, I think it's about time we change into are robes." I said.
"Yeah let's go." Karen said.
"Ok" Sam said.
We walked out of the compartment into the bathroom and changed into are robes.
"Wow, were almost there." I said.
"I hope we all get in Gryffindor together." Karen said.
" I hope so too." Me and Sam said at the time like before when her and Karen said something at same time.
"What happens if one of us gets put into a different house?" I asked.
"We can all definitely still be friends, to me it doesn't matter what house you guys get put into." Sam said.
" That goes for me too." Karen said.
" Me too." I said.
Just as we finished talking the train stopped and all compartment doors opened and all the students got off the train and we followed. As we got off I heard a man's voice.
" First years this way to the boats. Come on follow me don't be shy." said the man with a long dark beard holding a lantern.
We started to follow him and as he said there were boats, that I guess will take us across the lake to the school. I got on a boat then Sam and Karen did the same.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ After 7 minutes(just a guess)
Everyone got off the boats and started walking into the school. When we got into the school we were told to go wait at the top of the stairs. A woman with emerald green robes appeared where we standing minutes later and started speaking
" Welcome to Hogwarts. Now in a few moments you will pass through these doors and join your classmates, but before you take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you point. Any rule breaking, and you lose points. At the end of the year, the most points is awarded the house cup." she said.
We all followed her through these large doors and when we walked in everyone looked at us. We reached the place in the front where we are supposed to get sorted into our houses. There sat a hat on a stool, then it started singing
"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty, but don't judge on what you see, I'll eat myself if you can find a smarter hat than me. You can keep your bowlers black, your top hats sleek and tall, for I'm the Hogwarts Sorting Hat, and I can cap them all. There's nothing hidden in your head the Sorting Hat can't see, so try me on and I will tell you where you ought to be. You might belong in Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart, their daring,nerve, and chivalry. Set Gryffindors apart; You might belong in Hufflepuff, where they are just and loyal, those patient Hufflepuffs are true, and unafraid of toil; Or yet in wise old Ravenclaw, if you're already mind, where those of wit and learning, will always find their kind; Or perhaps in Slytherin, where you'll meet your real friends, those cunning folk use any means, to achieve their ends. So put me on! Don't be afraid! And don't get in a flap! You're in safe hands, though I have none, for I'm a Thinking Cap."
When the Sorting Hat was done singing, the woman started speaking
" When I call your name, you will come forth, I shall place the Sorting Hat on your head, and you will be sorted into your houses."
"Hermione Granger"
A girl with brown bushy hair walked up to the Sorting Hat and sat down as the woman placed it on her head. After a minute of thinking the Sorting Hat yelled
"Gryffindor"
"Draco Malfoy"
As I heard that name, I looked up and realize that it's the boy that bumped into me.
"Hey that's the boy that bumped into me before I got to the train." I said to Sam.
"Really!" Sam said.
"Yeah." I said.
Draco walked to the stool and sat, before the Sorting Hat was placed it yelled
"Slytherin"
"Susan Bones"
The Sorting Hat was placed on her red hair and yelled
"Hufflepuff"
"Ronald Weasley"
The Sorting Hat yelled after a minute
"Gryffindor"
"Karen Williamson"
The Sorting Hat was placed onto Karen's blue hair and then yelled
"Gryffindor"
"Sam Whelan"
The Sorting Hat was placed onto her head
"Gryffindor"
It was just a boy with black hair and glasses and me left to get sorted.
"Harry Potter"
When his name got called it got silent. After a couple of minutes the Sorting Hat finally yelled
"Gryffindor"
There were cheers from the Gryffindor table. "We got Pottter. We got Potter."
Finally my name was called, " Rachel Voychuk"
I walked up to the stool and sat down as the woman put the Sorting Hat on my head.
"Hmmm.... Gryffindor."
I smiled and sat down at the Gryffindor table next to Karen and the boy that went before me with Sam across fro me.
" Hi, I'm Harry Potter."
" Hello, I'm Rachel."
As I said that a man with a gray long beard and baggy clothes said
"Let the feast begin."
Food appears and we all dig in.
