The date is July 23, 2030.
World War III erupted when the U.S. launched its first space station named "Erythraea" to orbit the planet of Mars. The European nation of Italy shot down the station as it was leaving Earths orbit, following this event the countries of Russia and France joined in the assault.
Italy invaded the South, while Russia claimed the North, and France invaded the west. America was gone. People evacuated to the countries of Mexico and Canada bordering the lost country, yet after a month those countries locked down their borders not letting anyone in or out.
Italian officials made it a mission to recover art and anything of value from anywhere they could, including the smallest of places, often raiding civilian homes. The whole of America was turned into a wasteland after the many bombs and battles by an enemy so brutal.
People who survived are forced to live like nomads surviving at all costs.
