A few months later, a man named Kai strolled down the street, his cocky grin reflecting the confidence of someone who thought the world owed him everything. A leather jacket hung over his shoulder, and he barely spared a glance for anyone who crossed his path. After all, they were all beneath him—just like the barista he'd berated earlier for messing up his coffee order.
But something glittering on the side of the road caught his eye. Among some litter and chewed up gum, a golden lamp rested, shining like a beacon.
"What's this?" Kai muttered, picking it up and inspecting the intricate carvings. He rubbed the dusty surface with his sleeve, and with a sudden burst of golden smoke, a woman materialized in front of him.
She was stunning—flawless skin, piercing golden eyes, and a regal presence that somehow made Kai feel small. Her expression, however, was far from impressed.
"Ugh, not again," she groaned. "Another one. Let me guess: you found my lamp, and now you're about to make some wishes."
Kai smirked. "You're a genie? This is my lucky day."
The woman sighed. "Zahra. Genie extraordinaire. You get three wishes, but make sure you use your words wisely. Got it?"
Kai's grin widened. "Oh, I got it. Let's do this."
