As I entered the room, my eyes scanned the space as if searching for answers. The bed, once inviting, now seemed like a temporary reprieve. My gaze fell upon my belongings, still packed from my previous assignment.

His commander's voice echoed in Zeyder's mind, "Transferred to a new post." The words now held a new significance. My thoughts swirled with questions. What was my new role? Who was this strange being I was tasked to guard?

Just then, his commander appeared at the door, scar above his left jawline, eyes piercing. "Transferred to a new post," he ordered, his voice a low growl. "Pack, follow me." I nodded, quickly gathering my belongings.

I followed my commander, leaving the opulent room and its secrets behind. As we walked, I couldn't shake off the feeling that my life was about to take a drastic turn.

Zeyder stood at attention, facing his commander, who wore a serious expression and a distinctive scar above his jawline. The fluorescent lights overhead cast a harsh glare, emphasizing the gravity of the moment.

"Transferred to a new post," the commander ordered curtly, his deep voice echoing off the cold walls. "Pack your things and follow me."

Zeyder's heart pounded in his chest as he nodded sharply, the sound of his own swallow echoing in his ears. He knew better than to ask questions.

The commander's expression turned grave, his eyes narrowing. "This is a high-profile assignment. You cannot speak about it or share this mission with anyone. Understood?" His voice dropped to a low growl, sending a shiver down Zeyder's spine.

Zeyder nodded again, the creaking of his leather boots echoing through the hallway as he shifted his weight.

The commander's gaze bore into him, ensuring he understood. "Is that clear, soldier?" The words hung in the air like a challenge.

Zeyder nodded once more, his breath catching in his throat.

The commander turned, leading Zeyder through winding hallways lined with polished marble. The soft hum of hidden machinery and faint scent of old parchment filled the air.

As they walked, the opulent decorations gradually gave way to more austere surroundings, until they reached a gate made of heavy steel bars. The clang of metal on metal echoed through the hallway as the commander punched a code into a keypad.

The gate swung open with a metallic creak.

"Go," he motioned.

Zeyder stepped through, noticing the commander remained behind, as if unauthorized to proceed. The automatic bars shut behind him with a resounding clang, and he heard the sound of locks engaging with a series of metallic clicks.

As he walked, the surroundings transformed. Grandeur returned, with high ceilings and transparent silk curtains draping down like a waterfall. The soft rustle of fabric and gentle hum of hidden ventilation filled the air.

The ceiling's broken color figments reflected the hall's eerie beauty, casting kaleidoscopic patterns on the floor.

The sound of flowing water grew louder, drawing Zeyder forward. He followed the melodic gurgle, his footsteps echoing off the marble floors.

He approached the door, hand on the cool metal knob.
