~Ayah~

"Mom, please do not worry about it, I got this. The only thing you should be focusing on is how to get better." I told my mother over the phone, the cab driver signalling me that we've reached the address I gave him.

"I'm so sorry you have to leave your job at the café for this my love, but I promise once I get better, I'll get back to it. Why I don't want to abandon that job even at this age is because they pay me huge money." She explained.

"Yes ma, I get it." I scoff almost rolling my eyes. Being a maid was definitely not on my bingo card, but here I am, about to be one in a few minutes.

"Alright mom, I'll have to hang up now, I'm at the address you gave me. Take good care of yourself and make sure you take the medications I bought you, okay? I'll come see you when i get the chance alright? "

"Alright my love, bye." The call got disconnected, leaving me totally shook. I had never been to where my mother's been working all these months, and I got to tell you that this place was IT. The compound isn't that big but neither small either. It was perfect.

If the exterior is this beautiful, I can't even imagine what the interior would look like.

Mother said only a mother and son are living in this beautiful house. And the son happens to be a famous footballer. He plays for the biggest football club in the world right now, Real Madrid.

I'm not actually a fan of football to be honest, but I know all the main clubs and players. And I've never heard of this dude in my life. He's an English but he's staying here in Spain with his mother because of his career.

Mom has been telling me how nice he was with her nonstop. My mother filled me in with all the details I needed to know about the mother and son duo. All the do's and don'ts.

I was stopped at the gate by a security guard asking me what I was doing here, I told him what I was here for and I saw him making a call.

After he finished his call, he gave me the 'go ahead' and that was all I needed to enter the house.

I entered the beautiful house, and I was welcomed by a beautiful woman. She was all smiles when she saw me. Showing her paper white teeth. I couldn't help but smile back, her smile is so contagious.

She made her way towards me while I still stood at the front door entrance. "Oh come on in sweetheart. Ayah right? Ayah Shams? Laila's daughter?" She asked, her smile disappearing, seeming a bit unsure about the whole encounter.

I nodded my head fast before she calls up security on my ass. Her beautiful smile creeps its way up back to her face again. I sigh a breath of relief knowing I was not gonna be thrown out on my first day and disappoint my mother.

She came in for a hug and I hugged back, gosh she smells soooo gooood. "So nice to finally meet you Ayah. Laila never told me her daughter was this beautiful..." She says.

"Thanks ma'am." I thanked her. "You're so welcome sweetheart. I'm guessing your mom has told you everything that needs to be done here right?" She asks searching my face for a response.

"Yes ma'am, she has." I reply with a smile. "Good. Also, I know you do not want to do a maid job." I looked at her questionably cause how does she know this.

She notices my questionable expression and let out a small laugh. "Your mom told me about it." She confirms. "I'm sorry if you felt forced to work here because of your mom, but I promise you that there's absolutely nothing to worry about yeah?" She gently put her hands over my shoulders reassuring me with a big ass smile.

"Alright ma'am." I smile right back at her.

"Do not worry about working yourself out because there's not much work here. I do my work for myself. The only thing I need help for is my son. He's such a big baby, very careless with his stuffs and rarely tidy's up. He also eats a lot. He likes his food homemade, and I can't always be around to help him out because I have another son and some other errands to run to, you see? So to be specific, you're mostly only here for my son." She finishes.

"I get it ma'am. I'll try my best." I told her.

"That's more like it! Come on, I'll show you around the house. I hope you enjoy your time here with us." She walks off, looking behind her back making sure I'm coming.

I really hope so too. I trail behind her like a lost puppy.
