𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓾𝓮

"kang haewon!" mirae called out as she stood next to jaehyun, sunoo and jake. she walked towards them as they waved at her. 

"haewon, cute hoodie." jaehyun pointed out as she smiled muttering a thank you.

"guys listen, we're taking bus 3 tomorrow. last time it got all mixed up so remember now." mirae informed them for the school trip the next day. they were going for a one night stay at a resort + water park. they were all so excited about the trip which made haewon glad to look at. she smiled slightly as they planned what they were gonna bring and stuff. 

"haewon and jaehyun can bring snacks!" mirae concluded.

"jeez, you planned almost everything." sunoo looked at her in shock of how much planning she had done. the bell rang interrupting their excitement. they all headed to their classes meeting the others. haewon sat with jungwon who was the class president.

"attention! bow!" he commanded as their homeroom teacher entered the class to which everyone bowed.

at the teacher's command they all sat down. haewon opened her biology text book.

"today, we'll be studying a new topic. 'parasites'..." the teacher continued as haewon rested her head in her arms. 

"did you not sleep well?" jungwon whispered to which she nodded in reply. 

she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket so she opened it under her desk to see their group chat filling up with messages for the trip next day.

mirae: alright, i'm pinning some messages here.
jaehyun: bro fuck, my phone wasnt on silent💀
sunoo: hahaha, i heard it.
me: what's up?
mirae: roommates: mirae, haewon, jaehyun, sunoo, jake
              snacks: haewon, jaehyun
              games: sunoo, jake
              face masks and speaker: mirae
jaehyun: yeah, we know, no need to share this shit again.
mirae: you lil piece of shit, you forgot last time.
sunoo: we were literally snackless last year, if you forget this time, i'm killing you.
jake: guys, idk abt jaehyun but haewon won't forget... won't you?
me: yeah, dw.

haewon kept her phone back in her pocket. as the lecture ended, she walked out to get some fresh air alone. she walked towards the ground stairs where she sat. she looked at the guys playing basketball as some girls cheered for the players. she sat there for a while before jaehyun came up to her with two ice creams in his hand.

"here." he handed her one as he sat next to her.

"thanks... i guess?" she was confused of why he got it for her but took it anyways.

"i figured your parents must have delayed their return?" he confirmed as she nodded.

"you must've been lonely..." he rested his head on her shoulder. 

"i'm used to it now." she shrugged it off as she took a bite of her ice cream.

"you'll get a break from it all tomorrow, don't worry." he assured her.

"hey, did you hear about gyeongeui? she disappeared after her duty yesterday. the watchman says he didn't see her leave the school." she informed.

"i don't understand it. doesn't matter, she's a bitch." he shrugged to which she giggled.

...

the next morning haewon looked in the mirror for one last time before she picked up her bag and left for school. she was wearing wide jeans and a black hoodie with a white y2k butterfly print. as she took the bus and reached she saw the four waiting for her.

after the teachers announced, they got into their bus. haewon sat next to mirae. the bus ride was pretty silent as it was early morning and most of them hadn't slept well due to the excitement.  as they reached there they had a lot of fun at the waterpark throwing each other into the pool and doing the exciting rides. after dinner they got back to their rooms. the five of them ate the snacks they had brought and sat at the couch watching 'train to busan'. 

"holy shit, holy shit, holy shit, i hate jumpscares." mirae put a pillow in front of her face as she hated jumpscares. they watched the whole movie with mirae and sunoo screaming as jaehyun, jake and haewon just watched them laughing. at the end, they bawled their eyes out.

"guys, i'm ready to die now, i saw jake cry." haewon commented laughing.

"it's emotional, okay?" jake wiped his tear as she said that.

soon they all sat under a blanket and ate the snacks. jaehyun was telling a horror story.

"something is coming... something hungry for blood." he continued before haewon smacked his head.

"you've gotten infected by the movie." mirae rolled her eyes as she chuckled.

soon, they all got tired and rested. in the next week, all they could talk about was how much fun  they had there. but there was still no sign on gyeongeui.

"cheon gyeongeui?" the teacher paused hoping for a reply. "still no."

their classmates started murmuring which got haewon curious but she didn't mind much. in the break the classmates gathered in a circle discussing something. haewon and jungwon went there to see what had happened as well.

"well, i don't know if it's true but, have you all noticed our biology teacher? he always has scars on his arms. and that day as i was walking to the library... i heard a girl's scream from the biology lab. but it's locked."

"it never used to be locked."

"no way... did out biology teacher kill her?" haewon and jungwon looked at each other.

"you really think that's true?" jungwon scoffed.

"could be..." one of them replied.
