CHAPTER ONE--LosT

In reflecting on my existence, one might say it has been characterized by the complex interplay of human nature, marked by desires and moments of remorse. Bluntly it was "Human-Like"

As far as I remember, it all began with my father's death in front of me. He laid upon me a wish to save this fucked up world.

I used my powers, the ones that resided in my species—the power to traverse through realms once in a lifetime.

I used my power to fulfill my late father's wish for me to go to this world, and I teleported onto a battlefield. How surprising

A man was looking at me with eyes filled with rage, pain, and regret. He paused, staring at me for a minute.

I didn't know why, but this man evoked a strange sense of nostalgia in me, as if I had a connection with him.

He seemed like a maniac, but after that pause, he attacked me."Who are you?" he shouted, brandishing a strange weapon that looked threatening.

I tried to dodge it, but it hit me in the arm. "Stop! I don't want to fight you!" I yelled, but he didn't listen.

He kept attacking me, enjoying the one-sided battle. I swung my arms around, trying to defend myself, but he was relentless.

At last, he cut my left hand off. I screamed in agony as he laughed, his mouth wide open in a maniacal grin.

instinct took over, and I shoved my left arm into his mouth like a psychopath. He tried to scream but couldn't. With my arm still lodged in his mouth, I started biting his throat.

He struggled, unable to move his jaw, as I bit deeper and deeper until his misery finally ended.

He was dead at last.

After that, I was drained of energy and fainted. The next thing I knew, I was in a prison cell. A guard told me I had killed one of the generals and was sentenced to ten years in prison.

How surprising i accepted the situation without struggle.

It made me question my humanity. Although I am not completely human, I have many human-like characteristics still so.

The main thing is, I remember clearly that my hand got cut off, and I stuffed his mouth with my left arm.

But Now, my left hand seems to have regenerated. Had it not been for that hand, I would have died.I sat in my prison, shocked that I was charged with murder despite acting in self-defense.

Killing this 'General' of the so-called Great Army made me feel a sense of pride. I wanted to know more about this general.

Was he even strong? I mean, I destroyed him without flinching. How did my hand regenerate, and what was that weapon he used?

My brain was filled with questions. Luckily, the king of this nation wanted to see me. It made sense, considering I had killed one of his treasured warriors.

When I saw the king, he didn't seem concerned. He was relaxed and surprised at the same time.

"Young man, what is your name?" the king asked.

With utmost sincerity, I replied, "My name is Shikaku, your majesty."

He asked, seemingly shocked, "Hm? Is that your full name?"

"Yes, your majesty," I replied.

He seemed somewhat disappointed, though I didn't know why.

"Shikaku, do you have any idea whom you've slain?"

he questioned, eyes narrowing."Not until now, your majesty," I admitted. "Who was he?"He took a deep breath.

"You have slain none other than the Great General Thaddeus von Vanserra, a man cursed by the devil and the user of the bloodborne weapon Pure Fury."

"So Pure Fury was the mysterious weapon the general used against me," I thought to myself. The king asked again,

"Do you have any kind of relation with Thaddeus?"

"No," I replied.

"interesting," the king murmured.

"Your combat prowess Tell me, Shikaku, would you consider serving this kingdom?"I blinked, taken aback.

"Serving this kingdom, your majesty?"

"Yes," he said, his gaze piercing.

"You have great potential, and it would be a waste to keep you imprisoned. I am willing to reduce your sentence, on the condition that you serve and protect our realm."

"I... I will consider this carefully, your majesty" I stammered.

"Very well. Your sentence is now five years,"

the king declared.

"Use this time to reflect and prepare for what lies ahead."

On my second day as a prisoner,

the guards were nice to me and gave me special treatment. When I asked them about the bloodborne weapons,

they hesitated but eventually told me about bloodborne weapons,

"A bloodborne weapon is the strongest of all weapons, yet it is a curse—a taboo. One can only get a bloodborne weapon by killing and taking a million souls, then offering them to the devil. The user is then granted the weapon. Alternatively, one has to kill a person already wielding a bloodborne weapon to transfer ownership.the weapon will defend it's user or at least try to it can heal an injury no matter how fatal but only if the user wants it to the weapon will only do so for a user once before losing about 40% of its power. But to wield a bloodborne weapon is a curse because the user is denied heaven. To wield one is to defy the gods, and the gods will never grant him peace."

"Is that why the king has such high hopes for me?" I asked one of the guards, a man named kenji.

"Yes, Shikaku. You're suggested to be the wielder of Pure Fury, although it is not clear yet if you actually have the authority to wield a weapon of high caliber such as Pure Fury "

kenji replied.I nodded, absorbing the information. "Thank you for telling me, kenji. I need to understand what the situation is you see."

"So based on this it seems that my hand getting regenerated is related to the bloodborne weapon Pure Fury and i actually have the authority to use Pure Fury but i will keep it a secret for now" I thought to myself.
