Hello everyone this is my first ever story I have written on Wattpad, so uh don't criticise me thank you very much have a great day (and some blue cookies) Amen.

Winter at Camp Half-Blood had a stillness to it, a quiet that settled over everything. The snow blanketed the campgrounds in soft mounds, and the crisp air carried the faintest hint of pine. I had planned on spending the afternoon in the Athena cabin, getting ahead on my architecture studies. I had a big project to complete, and with how hectic things had been lately, I knew I needed the time to focus.

When I entered the cabin, I expected the usual sight: neat rows of desks, some books scattered around, and the comforting feeling of my half-siblings immersed in their work. Instead, I was met with something unexpected.

Malcolm, my half-brother, was standing precariously on a chair, his eyes wide as he frantically scanned the room. His normally calm demeanor was gone, replaced by pure panic. I raised an eyebrow and glanced around.

"What in the Olympians' names are you doing?" I asked, hands on my hips.

"I saw a ginormous spider," Malcolm said, his voice rising with urgency. "And I don't know where it went!"

Before I could respond, I heard a shuffle behind me. I turned just in time to see more of the Athena kids clambering onto chairs, eyes darting about in the same wild search for the invisible spider. It was like something out of a nightmare—half a dozen of my siblings, usually composed, now standing on chairs like frightened rabbits.

"Uh, Annabeth, you might want to get on a chair too," one of them said, wide-eyed.

I stared at them in disbelief. A spider. A ginormous spider. Really? Yet I couldn't stop the rising panic in my chest, we were all arachnophobic.

I glanced over at the corner of the room where a desk sat, unoccupied, and then up at the rafters where a web could potentially be lurking. I could feel the panic in my chest overflowing now, spreading throughout my entire body, and I quickly clambered onto a chair, balancing awkwardly. Everyone else followed suit, the room now filled with a bizarre mix of frantic energy and worried glances as we all tried to spot the spider.

Just as I was about to make sense of the situation, I heard a familiar voice.

"Annabeth?"

I turned to the door and saw Percy, looking totally unaffected by the chaos inside. Of course, he was probably wondering what on earth was going on.

"Why is everyone standing on chairs?" he asked, his eyes narrowing in confusion as he took in the scene.

And then he saw everyone's eyes still frantically looking around, their faces twisted in horror.

"Oh." Percy's lips curved into that mischievous grin, the one that always meant trouble. "This should be good."

He tried to stifle his laughter, but it was no use. Percy burst into fits of laughter, clutching his stomach as he doubled over. I swear, a few tears were even falling from his eyes as he laughed, his face bright with amusement. My gaze shifted to the other Athena kids, and I saw them all glaring murderously at him. It was clear they didn't find the situation nearly as funny as Percy did.

"Percy!" I snapped, but my voice didn't have the usual authority behind it. Honestly, I was getting a little embarrassed, especially since I was standing on a chair with everyone else. And with Percy watching me, I felt... vulnerable.

But Percy, in his "infinite wisdom",grabbed a tissue from his pocket, his grin widening even more as he slowly stepped toward the middle of the room.

"Don't worry, guys," he said, still trying to control his laughter. "I'll save the day." He knelt down, peering under a chair with exaggerated focus.

And then, before I could process what was happening, he held the spider up—the spider—carefully nestled in the tissue. He looked over at me, his grin almost impossible to suppress. I shut my eyes tight, not wanting to see that freaking monstrosity with eight legs.

[Line break]

"Okay, Annabeth," he said sweetly, "You can open your eyes now."

I stiffened. My eyes squeezed shut even tighter, and I prepared myself for the inevitable.

"What's the matter, Annabeth?" Percy teased, moving closer to me. "You're not scared of a little spider, are you?"

But before I could protest, I felt a cold, soft something on my arm. My eyes shot open, and I nearly screamed. There, crawling slowly on my forearm, was the spider.

I froze for a fraction of a second, and then the scream came—louder than I could ever have imagined—and I scrambled to get away. In my panic, I nearly fell off the chair, my hands flailing for balance.

"Percy!" I shouted, nearly choking on my own words. I was shaking, and I couldn't take my eyes off the spider on my arm, which only seemed to make it worse.

Without missing a beat, Percy grabbed the spider and crushed it in the tissue, his expression suddenly more serious. He didn't even flinch as he disposed of it outside, all while I continued to glare at him.

He came back inside with that same playful grin, but I was having none of it. I was fuming.

"You. Have. Ten. Seconds. To run, " I said, my face flushed with frustration. My heart was still racing, but now it was mixed with a distinct kind of embarrassment that Percy had, in one swift move, completely thrown me off balance.

"Oh, come on, it wasn't that bad," he said, clearly still trying to hold back laughter. "You've survived worse things than spiders." He started to slowly back away as I advanced forward.

I glared at him, but he didn't back down. Instead, he turned toward the door and started running for his life, trying to escape my wrath, leaving me to stew in my irritation. I stormed out of the Athena cabin and bolted after him, determined to make him pay for the prank.

"Percy Jackson!" I yelled, though it came out more as a breathless shout as I chased him through the snow-covered camp.

I was so close, so ready to catch up to him when, suddenly, he stopped in his tracks and whirled around to face me.

I didn't have time to slow down. I collided with him, and we both crashed to the ground, the snow cushioning our fall. I was on top of him, my face burning, mortified at how the chase had ended. My heart was still racing from the adrenaline, and I could feel the heat in my cheeks as I stared down at Percy, who looked completely unbothered, his arms casually wrapped around me.

"I—" I started to scramble off him, but he pulled me closer, not giving me the chance to escape.

Before I could say anything else, Percy leaned up and kissed me, his lips warm and soft against mine. I froze for a moment, surprised by how gentle he was, but then I relaxed into him, letting go of the anger and embarrassment that had been building. The world seemed to stop, everything around us fading away as we kissed in the snow.

And when we finally broke apart, he grinned up at me, his eyes full of warmth and mischief.

"Still mad?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.

I opened my mouth to respond, but the words didn't come out. I could only smile back, my cheeks still warm, and the rest of the world seemed to blur into the background.

"No," I whispered, my voice soft. "Not anymore."
