Author POV:

As they drove through the bustling streets of Seoul, the morning sun cast a warm glow over the city. The air was filled with the aroma of street food and freshly brewed coffee. Colorful storefronts line the streets, their signs flickering with bright neon lights. They passed by traditional Hanok houses juxtaposed against modern skyscrapers, creating a unique blend of old and new. Music blaring through the car's speakers adds to the energetic atmosphere. The streets were alive with people rushing to work or school, their footsteps echoing on the pavement. One turns to the right, looking out the window and catching a glimpse of the students in their stylish uniforms, chatting and laughing as they make their way to class. They always saw the grand entrance adorned with blooming cherry blossom trees as they approached their college campus. The sight always filled them with anticipation and excitement for the day ahead, but not today.

Sara POV:

The drive was silent, and all that was heard was music coming from the speakers, and it just made me overthink more.

Why didn't he call? Where was he all last weekend? Is he partying again? Is he cheating on me? NO! NO! I'm overthinking again; he loves me. I'm worried about nothing... nothing.

My thoughts felt so loud I was sure anyone would be able to hear if they were close enough. I didn't even realize I had let out an audible sigh until I felt a nudge on my arm. I turned to a pair of concerned eyes and knew I was caught.

"What are you thinking about? You've been silent since I picked you up?" Her tone was concerned, and I didn't fail to notice something was off with her, too, as she was also silent the whole ride.

"What about you, huh? Don't think I missed your silence." She rolled her eyes at my words, and we got out of her car and started walking into the campus.

"Can we grab an Americano? I think we both need to talk." I paused at her words and sent her a glare and she laughed.

"We have been friends for years. You know I hate Americanos." She grabbed my arm, linking ours together, and gave her signature smile that I never fail to smile back, and we kept walking.

"I know, and that's why I get an Americano, and you get a boba deal?" We both chuckled at her words and made our way to the canteen before class.

Lyss POV:

We made it to the canteen and Sara was sitting in our usual spot while I grabbed our drinks. I'm standing at the counter, waiting patiently. While waiting, my mind kept going back to this morning and hearing the harsh words of my parents replaying over and over again in my head. I could feel tears starting to fill my eyes, getting ready to stream, until I heard a voice.

"Hey Lyss, here's your drinks." I quickly blinked and wiped my tears away forcing a smile on my face. I reached out and grabbed the drinks, gave a bow, and thanked them. They smiled and wished me a good day as I left making my way back to Sara who was waiting for me. I quickly made my way over all while shoving the emotions that I was feeling deep down and forcing a smile on my face. "There you go!"

I gave my smile, and she returned it while grabbing the boba I set in front of her. We both sat there in comfortable silence, enjoying our drinks.

Author POV:

The canteen is always full of students and staff when not attending class, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee fills the room. The walls are covered with colorful artwork, and there are comfortable seating areas with plush cushions and wooden tables. Lyss was sipping on her iced Americano, savoring the rich taste and enjoying the caffeine boost. On the other hand, Sara indulges in a refreshing boba drink with colorful tapioca pearls at the bottom, providing a burst of flavor with every sip. They know they should be engrossed in conversation, and sharing laughter, but they just can't either know where to start. Their minds are filled with their thoughts. Sara can't stop thinking about her boyfriend, and Lyss is torn about the situation that took place this morning. Their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the bell. Lyss walked over and pulled Sara into a warm hug that Sara returned.

"I'll see you after class, call me after?" Sara said as she pulled away, and Lyss nodded, and they went their separate ways.

Both Sara and Lyss had their basic morning classes and then their rehearsals at the end of the day. As always, they made it through their classes, and both headed to their rehearsals after a long day of lectures and assessments.
