Unspoken love, hidden grievances and many – two unacknowledged lovers are slowly breaking under the weight of their unexpressed emotions.

Today is the physics exam. Since last night, Jimin’s heart has felt utterly useless, incapable of focusing. It's as if it has turned against him, refusing to cooperate.

Why?

Why, despite his constant urging to focus on his studies, does his mind keep conjuring up Yoongi’s image, haunting his thoughts?

For a week now, Jimin hasn’t spoken to Yoongi. The conflict erupted over Jungkook and Taehyung’s marriage. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, but Yoongi still refuses to accept the marriage. Despite three heated arguments, Jimin failed to convince him that his brother would keep Jungkook happy, wouldn’t hurt him, wouldn’t control him. Yet Yoongi’s only retort remains,

"Your brother will hurt my precious baby, control him. Didn’t he used to hurt others when he was young in our childhood? Right in front of me, I saw him hurt my little brother, and out of respect for family ties, I said nothing. What guarantee is there he won’t do the same after marriage? Don’t forget, your brother once hit me at the market. I believe your brother has always resented us because your father didn’t like us and never let us visit your house. And this so-called marriage? I think Taehyung has married my little baby to take revenge. Why else would a sweet boy like Jungkook fall for someone as rude and stone-hearted as your brother?"

Hearing this last accusation, anger boiled over in Jimin’s chest. How could Yoongi harbor such negative thoughts? Revenge? What kind of twisted notion is that? If revenge was his brother’s goal, couldn’t he have easily destroyed the entire Jung family and had them rot in jail by now? Even if Aera auntie committed suicide, wasn’t the community, the people of this society, and even the Jung family partly responsible for her death? Didn’t their cruel taunts push her toward the edge?

Yet the people of Kim's Haven forgave them all. Even when they had the power and influence to uproot the family from their land, Namjoon  chose to remain silent, unwilling to sever the familial bonds entirely.

And love? Does anyone fall in love knowingly or by calculation? If love were so rational, wouldn’t everyone fight over the most perfect person in the world? Love doesn’t require a perfect moment or a flawless individual. It sneaks in uninvited, unpredictable.

No one knows when or with whom they’ll fall in love until, all of a sudden, life feels empty without that person. That’s when the heart whispers softly,

❝Love has arrived at your doorstep. Open the door and welcome it with open arms.❞

Taehyung never truly wanted to love Jungkook. He always tried to hate him. Otherwise, why would he hit Jungkook over some small issues? Even though he knew everything about Jungkook’s personality and history, he didn’t love him from the beginning. Jungkook was just like any other cousin to him. But one fateful moment shattered everything, planting the poison of love deep in his heart for his Bunbun.

This poison is now slowly consuming Jimin, day by day. Without the loved one, his heart feels restless, everything in the world turns bitter, and even the taste of food seems dull. Yet love has its own magic – it can heal the heart and soul in an instant. Even the ugliest things appear beautiful when seen through its lens. That's called love.

In anger, sorrow, and frustration, Jimin once told Yoongi through the phone, his voice nearly breaking with emotion,

"Listen, Yoongi hyung, your heart is ugly. I feel ashamed to have loved you. People who can’t respect love don’t deserve to be loved. The truth is bitter, but it’s still the truth. I was a fool to not realize how dark you are inside. You don’t deserve love, which is why you lost Suzy. You—"
