Loomis caught sight of Lumiose City in the distance, the lights brightening the night sky, almost blindingly so, as he rode in on his motorcycle. He followed the signs to his new college, feeling anxious as he pulled into the dorm parking lot, the massive building looming before him. The Umbreon dismounted his bike, removing the straps that held his belongings in place before making his way inside...

Loomis pushed open the door to his new dorm room, taking in the sight of a sleek, blue Miraidon lounging on the bed. The other glanced up with a casual air, his electric scales shimmering in the light. His side of the room was stylishly arranged, showcasing an array of gadgets and books on engineering. A mini fridge hummed quietly in the corner, stocked with snacks. The Miraidon shifted his gaze back to a glowing tablet, focused on whatever project had captured his attention.

Loomis looked around curiously, a neutral expression on his face. It was surprisingly... nice. He took a couple more steps inside, carrying a duffel bag and a guitar case.

Kairo looked up again as Loomis entered, noticing the guitar case. A smile formed on his face.
"Hey, you're the new roommate, right?" He got up from the bed and approached Loomis, extending a hand in greeting.

Loomis glanced at Kairo's hand cautiously but put his bag down to shake it gently. "Yeah, I'm Loomis... Loomis Mc'Cabre." He mumbled, glancing away to observe the room again.

Kairo gave Loomis's hand a gentle shake, noticing the shy demeanor. "Cool name, man. So, do you play that guitar?" He nodded towards the case in Loomis's hands, curious to know more about his roommate's musical inclinations.

Loomis stuck his hands into his pockets as if protecting them. "Yeah..."

Kairo chuckled, sensing Loomis's discomfort. "Don't worry, I won't steal it. I'm more into electronics and gadgets myself. Though I do enjoy a good tune once in a while." He paused for a moment, thinking. "Do you like horror movies?"

Loomis's ears twitched slightly, but that was the only reaction Kairo got other than a small glance. "Uh... yeah, horror movies are cool..."

Kairo smirked, noticing the small reaction to the question. "Cool, I'm a huge fan of them too. We could watch one sometime if you're up for it." He walked back over to his bed and sat down again, resuming his focus on the tablet. However, he couldn't help but steal a glance at
Loomis every now and then.

Loomis started to unpack his things, setting up his guitar stand and pulling a small amplifier from the duffel bag before unzipping the guitar case and taking out a sleek, black electric guitar with invisible flames on it.

Kairo's eyes widened as Loomis pulled out the guitar, admiring the sleek design and intricate flames. He couldn't help but whistle appreciatively. "Wow, that's one badass guitar you got there. Can't wait to hear you play it sometime."

Loomis swallowed dryly, clearly still nervous that Kairo was watching him, and he stayed quiet as he placed it in the stand. Kairo sensed the tension and decided to back off for now. He went back to his tablet, pretending to be engrossed in the project. However, he couldn't help but sneak glances at Loomis every now and then, still fascinated by the electric guitar.

Loomis then unpacked his clothes and placed them neatly in his dresser. He decorated his side of the room with a few small things: a lava lamp, some posters, a couple figurines, and that was it. He put his laptop on his desk, sighing softly when he was finished.

Kairo raised an eyebrow, taking in the simple decorations. He had to admit, Loomis seemed to be a minimalist type. The lava lamp was an interesting touch, though. Once Loomis had finished unpacking, Kairo decided to break the silence. "Hey, so, uh, how do you feel about rooming with a Miraidon?"
