Where My Heart Belongs

Jungkook's pov

I stood at the back of the hall, my heart pounding so loudly it almost drowned out the music. The decorations were beautiful~~white flowers everywhere, soft lights, and people smiling like they were in a perfect fairy tale. But I wasn't smiling.

My eyes were locked on one person. Jimin.

He stood at the front of the room, dressed in a white suit that made him look like an angel. He was holding a small bouquet in his hands. His face was calm, but I could see the little details others probably missed~~his shaking hands, the way his lips pressed together tightly.

He wasn't happy. I could tell.

The officiant's voice broke through the quiet. "Do you take Kim Taehyung to be your husband?"

I froze. My breath caught in my chest as I watched Jimin. He didn't say anything.

He stood there, staring down at the bouquet in his hands. He looked nervous, unsure. And then… then he looked up. His eyes searched the crowd, and finally, they found mine.

When his gaze locked with mine, the world seemed to stop. The people, the music, the decorations everything faded. It was just him and me.

His eyes told me everything. He was confused. Scared. But there was something else, something deeper that made my chest ache.

The officiant spoke again, louder this time. "Do you, Park Jimin, take Kim Taehyung to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

Jimin's shoulders shook, and I saw his hands tremble harder. He still didn't answer.

I couldn't stand it anymore. My body moved before my brain could stop it. I pushed through the crowd, ignoring the whispers and stares. I didn’t care what anyone thought.

When I reached the aisle, I stopped and called his name.

"Jimin."

The entire hall went silent. Hundreds of eyes turned to look at me, but I only looked at him.

"Jimin," I said again, my voice softer but firm. "I need to talk to you"

He turned to face me fully, his eyes wide and filled with shock. "Jungkook… what are you doing here?" His voice was so quiet I almost couldn't hear him.

I took a deep breath and stepped closer. "I can't let you do this," I said, my voice steady.

Beside him, Taehyung frowned and asked sharply, "Who is this? What is he talking about?"

I didn't even glance at him. My focus was only on Jimin.

"Jimin," I continued, "don't marry him if you're not sure. Don't marry him just because you think it's the right thing to do." My voice cracked slightly, but I didn’t stop.

"You don't have to force yourself into something your heart doesn’t want."

Jimin's lips parted as if he wanted to speak, but no words came out. His hands were shaking so badly now, the bouquet slipping slightly.

Taehyung stepped forward, his voice harsh. "Jimin, what's going on? Who is this guy, and why is he interrupting....."

"I'm the one who loves him," I said, cutting him off. My voice was louder this time, filled with determination.

Gasps echoed around the room, but I didn't care. "I love you, Jimin," I said, looking straight into his eyes. "And I think… I think you love me too."

Tears filled Jimin's eyes, and he shook his head, his voice trembling. "Jungkook, why are you doing this?"

"Because I can't watch you make a choice you'll regret for the rest of your life," I said, stepping even closer. "I know this isn't what you want. I can see it in your eyes.'

The room was dead silent except for my voice and Jimin's quiet sobs.

"Jimin," I said softly, "you don't have to say anything. Just tell me what you really want. I'll accept whatever it is."

For a moment, he stood frozen. His shoulders shook as tears streamed down his face. Then, slowly, he turned to Taehyung.

"I'm sorry," Jimin whispered, his voice cracking. "I can't do this."

The bouquet slipped from his hands and hit the floor. My chest felt like it might burst.

He turned back to me, his face red and wet with tears. "Jungkook…"

That was all I needed. I stepped closer, closing the distance between us, and gently reached for his trembling hand.

"It's okay," I whispered. "You don't have to explain. I'm here now."

And in that moment, nothing else mattered.
