In a luxurious, posh meeting room, men and women were deep in serious discussions about the current stock market trends. Standing confidently in the aisle, Ishita was preparing for her presentation, her ambitious nature shining through. She was not only confident in her abilities but also in the fact that her classmate, Barun, was the company's vice chairman. Lately, whispers about their relationship had been circulating, fueled by rumors of them being seen together at a hotel. Though Barun remained silent about the rumors, Ishita did not deny them, as there was some truth to the speculations.

Ishita had strong feelings for Barun but feared that once she confessed her love, he would walk away. Their relationship, at best, had been casual, with little commitment involved. Both were caught in a complicated web of passion, but Barun was clear about his intentions—he wanted nothing more than fleeting moments, not a lasting bond. Like his father, Barun seemed emotionally distant, focused more on work than relationships.

Barun's father, Mr. Giriraj Singhania, often shared his concerns with his son. He regretted the years he spent building wealth at the expense of his family and marriage. His wife, Rekha, was a simple woman who lovingly teased her husband about his past, but her devotion to him was undeniable.

Occasionally, Barun's parents invited Ishita to their home, subtly hinting at their hopes for a future union between their children. However, the complexities of their feelings, their family dynamics, and the weight of unspoken expectations made the future uncertain.

After the meeting, Barun headed up to his penthouse, located on the top floor of the office building. Ishita, still caught in her thoughts, followed him up. As they entered the sleek, modern space, Barun prepared two drinks, offering one to her. Ishita, unable to shake off the conversation from earlier, began pestering him about his mother's concerns. She told him about the anxious call she'd received from his mother, who was worried about their future and their potential marriage.

Seizing the moment, Ishita casually brought up the idea of marriage. “If our parents are so worried about our future, maybe we should just go ahead and get married. Nothing will change, after all,” she suggested nonchalantly.

Barun, clearly irritated by the suggestion, quickly declined, his tone cold. The irritation was enough to signal to Ishita that it was time to leave the room. However, she couldn’t let go of the tension between them. As she moved behind the sofa, she tried to kiss him, but Barun stood frozen, silent as a statue, offering no response.

After several attempts, each met with his immobility, Ishita finally gave up and left the room, the weight of unspoken feelings lingering in the air.
