We are shoved and forced into a small helicopter and Newt Craddles me in his arms while Vivian sobs into the palms of her hands bringing her knees to her chest and as she wraps her fingers around her necklace.
The necklace Gally gave her.
I really wanted to comfort her but j wasn't sure what I could do. I think maybe she just needs some time to herself.
The helicopter lands and we get off. Everywhere is a desert, no cities or towns. There is a few building but not many, mainly tall skyscrapers.
As we get out of the helicopter these disfigured, burnt and terrifying creatures begin to follow us.
"What the fuck?" I say.
"What the bloody hell are they?" Newt asks.
The people who rescued us fly back up into the air abandoning us. leaving us for dead?
Newt stands in front of me as if to protect me from them.
Awh how sweet.
One of the gladers screams starts running away, towards a tall building but one of those things catch them and..
It was too horrible.
I heard Newt take a sharp inhale of breath infront of me.
"You okay?" I whisper, wrapping my arms around his waist.
"No but is anyone really okay? We could all die and he- he just did." he points to the body in the distance," and I can't let that happen to anyone else. I can't let that happen to you."
"Well we'll all have to be strong to survive, we had a life in the maze so maybe we can here too." I say putting my head on his shoulder.

We were being chased by those things and had to find somewhere to hide.
We ran towards a tall skyscraper and the doors suddenly opened and people holding guns run out and shoot those creatures.
"Oh shit." I hear Vivian mutter.
"Don't worry." I say squeezing her hand.
"Who says I'm worried?" she says unconvincingly.
"Fucking cranks!" one of them shouts.
"Alright, I'll bring these gladers in with the rest, you fight off the cranks." another person says and leads us in the building.
"What is this place?" Thomas asks.
"This is a sanction from the scorch, for the meantime anyway." one of the people said.
