•Chapter 7(Epilogue)•

"Elissa!"a voice called

"What!I'm busy!"Elissa(9) replied

Let me introduce you to Elissa,she is 9 y/o,she loved writing stories even though she was not the best at it.She was currently writing a book called 'Lost Mafia Princess' as she had red a lot of Mafia stories on Wattpad and got and idea to write one of her own Mafia stories.

Her mother went to her room,"Dinners ready"she said

"Coming!"Elissa replied rushing down the stairs to the dining table.

She sat down,"where's dad?mom"she asked

Her mother sighed,"late shift"

Elissa nodded.

Elissa did not come from a wealthy family so her father often had to work late shifts to support their family as her mother had to take care of Elissa at home.Despite all this,she still loved her mother and father dearly and even more,her dream of becoming an author.

"How's that book of yours going?"he mother asked putting food in her bowl.

"It's going well"Elissa replied taking a bite of the food

"You know ,you should focus more on your studies.Your father is working hard to afford for your school fees and yet you go chasing your dreams of being an author.Im not stopping you but-"

"I get it.But I'm sorry mother,I cannot stop .Next time when I grow up I will become a great author and earn lots of money so you and dad won't have to worry about money ever again."Elissa said with finality.

Her mother sighed but nevertheless nodded,"I will support you no matter what.I believe in you,so don't let me down."

And Elissa did not let her down,she red books and did all sorts of things to improve her writing.Until one day,her father died of exhaustion .Elissa and her mother were devastated,Elissa doubted herself,she doubted her writing skills then remembered what her father said on his deathbed.

Flashback:

Elissa and her mother had just got the news of her father being sent to the hospital and rushed there.

"Elissa Smith and Emily Smith , here to see Jack Smith"Emilla said to the lady at the counter.

"Ward 140"the lady said with sorrow.

Elissa and her mother rushed to the ward to see a doctor walking out of it.Her mother immediately started sobbing, thinking the worst.

Elissa comforted her mother,and walked with her to the doctor,"are you the family of Jack Smith?"asked the doctor

"Yes yes,how's my father"Elissa asked holding her still sobbing
mother.

The doctor said,"he is currently in a live or die situation.So we just have to see,please be mentally prepared.You can go see him now"

That only caused the already sobbing mother to son harder and left Elissa there tears falling from her eyes.They ran inside the ward to see their father and husband laying there,helpless"come"he said

We obliged and went beside him,"no,no Jack you can't die.What will happened to us"her mother cried.

"Don't cry,it's ok I have my insurance covered so you have the money.You must live your life happy,don't think too much about me okay?"he said

"Bullshut,dad your not going anywhere certainly not dying.You will be ok"Elissa said tears uncontrollably flowing from her eyes.

"Don't lie to yourself Elissa,we three know that this is my deathbed.I know your passion for writing,know that I support you,the way to success may be very very hard, you will go through up and downs but most importantly Elissa, remember that no matter what you must persevere,do not give up.You have the potential and talent to be an amazing author.Continue chasing your dreams Elissa.Promise me"

Elissa nodded furiously,"I promise dad"

"I will miss you two"he said before the ear piercing sound indicating that his heart beat stopped sounded.

"NO,NO!"her mother cried

Elissa was now sobbing hard holding her also crying mother pulling her out as the doctors came in.

End of flashback

Elissa had only been 17 that time.This was a huge loss for both her and her mother.However,grief and mourning is part of the process.

In the present:

Elissa is now in her twenties along with her mother,she had became New York's best selling author.
She continued to persevere through the ups and downs ,never giving up."It was like yesterday when you were writing that book what was the name again?oh yes,Lost Mafia Princess and today you became the best selling author.I am Soo proud of you"Elissa's mother told her.

"Thanks mom,thank you for always supporting me too"Elissa replied

"Oh me,no it was you.You persevered,you didn't give up"her mother told her

After the grieving and mourning of her father,she started chasing her dreams of becoming an author,her mother supported her through it,there have been ups and downs.For instance when she just started,many people hated on her there were a lot of bad comments,but she only focused on the good ones.Not getting affected by haters.
And that is what brought her where she was today,she persevered ,never giving up.
