Abkgora and Polaris are vastly different in almost all aspects. Polaris has this authoritarian feel while the Abkgorans pride in the Individualist ideas like Democracy, and wanted to start their own one day. They wanted to unify their own people under a banner that they all could be proud of.
Then, it happened... 17 years before the current starting year of the universe. The first ever Abkgoran Congress met together in Hypatia, the capital of the Abkgoran culture and government. Although only 25 people showed up to the meeting, it would create the first ever Democratic Congress in Galactic history.
The Congress streamed their meeting across the Galaxy, showing the Polaris Government that for the first time in their history, Abkgoran Society was shifting away from them slowly. This meant that the Abkgoran Revolution was coming...
This TERRIFIED Polaris, since the other Empires already had collapsed from countless revolts, Civil Wars, and even Revolutions. This would be the largest upset in Galactic History if the Abkgorans won their freedom. They would become the FIRST ever Democracy in Interstellar history.
Polaris realized just how much more Patriotism was within Abkgoran Society, how much more pride in doing things for themselves... many Scholars on Polaris states the following:
"It has not come to the attention of the [Polaris] Government, that Abkgora will simply batter us into the ground. They have more of everything, and can research technology faster than us. We will be caught up to within 2 to 3 decades."
His statement scared Polaris's best Military minds. However, diehard Polaris supporters still considered this an act of treason by their own people. This created huge political instability within Polaris, as other regions begin to revolt against their control.
