Following the old plot, This story will take place after MT Nagumato Y/N is Rengoku's Tsuguko and is experienced with Flame breathing but doesn't use "properly". Y/N has trouble fully mastering breathing techniques via nirichin sword, so she doesn't have one, she uses a gun like her twin brother , Genya. Another thing they have in common is the ability to eat demons and take over their power. Y/N uses her ability to convert Flame breathing into her bullets in battle :).

"Mr.Rengoku invited me over, do you know why?" I ask Senjuro as we both stood in the courtyard of the Rengoku estate.
"No I'm not sure, let's go let him know you're here" he lead me inside the estate.
As Mr.Rengoku walks into the room that Senjuro led me to, his warm and comforting aura envelops me, making me feel at ease, he always made me happy.
"Ah, I've been expecting you." He smiled before leading us to the dining room.
"why did you call me here Mr.Rengoku? Is Mitsuri coming too? we haven't seen her in foreverrr"
He huckles softly, I like his laugh, his fiery eyes twinkling with amusement "Mitsuri isn't joining us today, I'm afraid. This meeting is strictly between you and me, and Senjuro too"
" I wanted to discuss my upcoming mission, I want to bring you" he smiled.
Rengoku grins wide, showing a row of perfectly white teeth "Indeed, we do!" He pauses, his expression turning serious
"The place we are going to, has been facing some... unusual activity lately." He raises an eyebrow, inviting me to guess further.
"I'm guessing people have been gone missing? Could it be a upper rank?" I asked.
Nods solemnly, his expression turning happy and proud once again "You're quite perceptive. Yes, several people have vanished without a trace in the area. And based on the evidence we've gathered, it does seem likely that on of the twelve kizuki is involved."
Rengoku claps his hands together, his eyes gleaming with determination.
"We'll depart first thing tomorrow morning. I suggest you wear light but warmly. The climate there might be quite harsh, I'm not sure since I've never been there before." He looks at me expectantly, awaiting my response. "So, what do you say?"
I nod. "I'll come, I like going on missions with you. but if I may ask, where is the mission?"
Rengoku leans back, a mischievous grin spreading across his face as he reveals the destination.
