Jungkook sat at the cafe table, tapping his fingers nervously. His eyes kept darting to the clock on the wall. It was 10:13 PM.

"Mia will be here soon," he muttered to himself.

Three years. It had been three years since their breakup, but the memories were still fresh. He could remember everything~~her laugh, their late-night talks, and how she had been his whole world. But then it had ended. Painfully.

He sighed, running a hand through his hair. Life was different now. He had Jimin. His husband. The man who made him feel loved and safe.

But Mia's sudden message had thrown him off balance.

"Meet me at Cafe Jiniee. We need to talk."

Talk about what? Why now? Jungkook's chest tightened as he thought of Jimin. How could he explain this meeting to him?

The soft hum of the cafe wasn't helping. The smell of coffee, the chatter of strangers~~it all blurred together as Jungkook's mind raced.

The door to the cafe opened, and instinctively, he looked up.

There she was.

Mia.

Their eyes met, and for a moment, everything else faded. She smiled, a small, uncertain smile. Jungkook felt his stomach twist.

"Jungkook," she said softly when she reached his table.

"Mia." His voice was even, though his emotions were anything but.

"Can I sit?"

He nodded, gesturing to the chair opposite him.

As she sat, the silence between them was heavy. Neither seemed to know where to begin.

Jungkook's phone buzzed, breaking the tension. He glanced at the screen.

Jimin.

"Hey, love. Where are you?"

Jungkook's heart sank. He quickly typed back, "Running errands." His hands trembled slightly as he hit send.

"Jungkook," Mia's voice pulled him back.

He looked at her, his expression guarded. "Why are we here, Mia?"

She hesitated, her fingers tracing the rim of her coffee cup. "I needed to see you. I've been carrying this guilt for years. I... I wanted to apologize."

"For what?" he asked, his voice tight.

"For everything. For leaving the way I did. For hurting you." Her voice cracked slightly. "I was selfish, Jungkook. I know that now."

Jungkook leaned back, crossing his arms. "Why now? Why after all this time?"

Her gaze dropped to the table. "Because I saw you. You and Jimin. And I realized how much I messed up. You looked so happy, and I... I felt like I ruined something beautiful."

Jungkook sighed deeply. "Mia, I'm happy with Jimin. I've moved on. You don't have to feel guilty anymore".

She looked up, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I know you're happy. I can see it. But I needed to say this, for me. I needed to tell you I'm sorry."

For a moment, Jungkook didn't speak. He stared at her, trying to make sense of his feelings.

Finally, he said, "I forgive you, Mia. But it doesn't change anything. My life is with Jimin now."

Mia nodded, a bittersweet smile on her face. "I'm glad you've found happiness, Jungkook. You deserve it."

She stood up, pausing for a moment. 'Take care, Jungkook."

"You too, Mia," he replied softly.

As she walked away, Jungkook felt a strange mix of relief and sadness. The door closed behind her, and the cafe seemed quieter than before.

His phone buzzed again.

Jimin: "Hey, are you okay? I miss you."

A small smile spread across Jungkook's face. He quickly typed back, "I'm fine. I'm coming home."

.
.

When Jungkook walked through the door of their apartment, he immediately smelled something delicious.

"Jungkook?" Jimin called from the kitchen.

"Yeah, Im back," Jungkook replied, kicking off his shoes.

Jimin peeked out, a bright smile on his face. "How was your errand?"

Jungkook walked over, wrapping his arms around Jimin from behind. "It was... a lot. But it's over now."

Jimin turned to face him, his brows furrowed with concern. "Are you sure you're okay?"

Jungkook cupped Jimin's face, leaning in to rest their foreheads together. "I'm okay. Because I have you."

Jimin',s smile softened. "Good. Because I'm not going anywhere."

Jungkook pulled him into a tighter hug. "I love you, Jimin."

"love you too," Jimin replied, his voice filled with warmth.

In that moment, Jungkook knew he was exactly where he was meant to be.
