The morning air was crisp as Peter, Harley, and Morgan made their way toward the campus. Peter had his usual quiet demeanor, but his thoughts were far from the usual routine. He had just dropped Joey and Max off with Tony and Steve at the tower, and leaving his kids behind—especially after everything that had happened recently—was harder than usual.
Morgan noticed his quietness and nudged him playfully. “You okay, Peter? You’ve been really quiet this morning.”
Peter smiled weakly, trying to mask his worries. “Yeah, just thinking about the twins. Can’t believe we’re already doing this... sending them to daycare soon. Feels like just yesterday they were born.”
Harley gave him a sympathetic look. “I get it. It’s a lot to balance, being a parent and trying to have a life outside of it. But you’re doing a great job, man.”
Peter chuckled softly, shaking his head. “I hope so.” He let out a sigh, then straightened up. “But hey, college first. We’ve got this.”

As soon as the trio walked into the classroom, they were met with an unexpected announcement. Their professor, Mrs. Collins, stood at the front of the room, beaming with excitement.
“I’ve got some great news, everyone,” she said, clapping her hands. “The entire class is going on a week-long trip to Wakanda. It’s been arranged for us to study some of their innovative technologies and experience their culture firsthand. The flight leaves tomorrow!”
Peter, Morgan, and Harley stared at each other in shock. Wakanda? For real?
“I—what?” Peter said, blinking in disbelief. He looked over at Morgan, who was already wide-eyed in shock.
Harley, ever the one to take things in stride, grinned. “Well, guess this is one way to kick off the semester.”
But before any of them could process the news, the familiar sound of mocking laughter rang in their ears. Flash Thompson, Jason, and Rachel were walking past their desks, eyes glinting with mischief.
“Of course, you three would get a free trip to Wakanda,” Flash said with a sneer. “What, are you going to tell us that the Wakandan people know you by name? Or are you going to have a tea party with T’Challa and Shuri?”
Jason snickered behind him. “Yeah, right. You all have some special connection with Wakanda? Don’t make me laugh.”
Rachel, with her usual arrogance, crossed her arms. “Are you sure you’ll fit in over there? I mean, Wakanda’s not exactly a place for... ordinary people like you.”
Peter clenched his fists, trying to ignore the taunting. He wanted to retort, to tell them that they had no idea who they were talking about, but he held back. Instead, he glanced over at Morgan, who was visibly irritated. She wasn’t going to let them slide with that kind of disrespect.
“Don’t listen to them,” Morgan muttered, her voice low. “You know how they are.”
Peter shot her a grateful look, but his mind was still reeling. Wakanda? It wasn’t like he wasn’t familiar with the country. He’d been there countless times over the years, hanging out with his good friends King T’Challa and Princess Shuri, as well as their incredible technology. T’Challa treated him like a nephew, and Shuri had always made him feel like part of the family, joking around and teaching him about their cutting-edge innovations.
But now, it was different. They were going to Wakanda as regular students—and he was a parent now.

Later that evening, when Peter, Harley, and Morgan returned to Stark Tower, they immediately sought out MJ.
“MJ!” Peter said, his tone serious as he walked into the living room. “You’ll never guess what just happened. Our class is going to Wakanda for a week.”
MJ looked up from where she was holding Joey, her expression unreadable at first. “Wakanda?” she repeated, raising an eyebrow. “That’s... unexpected. I thought you said it was just going to be a normal semester.”
“It wasn’t supposed to be,” Peter explained. “But then Mrs. Collins dropped this bombshell on us, and now I have to figure out what to do.”
Harley, always the one to joke, added with a grin, “I mean, come on! Wakanda? Who wouldn’t want to go? We get to see all that high-tech stuff, maybe even meet Shuri again!”
Peter rubbed his temples. “I don’t know, MJ. I don’t want to leave you and the twins here alone. It’s only been a week since the whole kidnapping thing.”
“I get it, Pete,” MJ said softly, standing up and walking over to him. She handed Joey off to Tony, who was standing nearby. “But I think you deserve this. You’ve been so stressed lately. And I know how much you love Wakanda. Plus, you’re not going alone. You’ve got Harley and Morgan with you, and the Avengers are always just a call away if something happens.”
Peter frowned, still uncertain. He didn’t want to leave her and the twins, but he also knew this trip might be something special for him and his friends.
“Are you sure? I can’t just... leave you with the kids and—”
MJ smiled, walking over and placing a hand on his chest. “Peter, you’ve got to take a break sometime. And don’t worry about us—we’re fine here. Tony and Steve are here, and they’ve got everything under control. The twins are going to be fine.”
Peter sighed, torn. “Okay... okay, I’ll go. But only if you swear to me that you and the twins are okay.”
MJ kissed him on the cheek. “I swear, Peter. Now go and have some fun.”

The next day, the trio—Peter, Harley, and Morgan—boarded the plane heading to Wakanda, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. Despite the teasing from Flash, Jason, and Rachel, the trip felt like an adventure waiting to happen. And for Peter, it was more than just a break—it was a chance to reconnect with old friends and experience the wonders of Wakanda once again.
As they soared over the clouds, heading toward a land that held so much history and promise, Peter couldn’t help but feel a sense of gratitude. Despite everything that had happened, he was still surrounded by a family that loved him. And maybe—just maybe—Wakanda would be a place where he could breathe a little easier for a while.
