Nia and Mulla were a young Jamaican couple, deeply in love but often clashing because of their strong personalities. Married just six months, their lives were a blend of passion, laughter, and heated debates.
One evening, as the two sat on their veranda enjoying the cool evening breeze, Mulla's wandering eye got the better of him. He glanced a little too long at a neighbor passing by, causing Nia's fiery temper to ignite.
"Ah wah dis, Mulla?" Nia snapped, her voice thick with Patois. "Yuh married to me, but yuh still ah look pon odda woman dem?"
Mulla, trying to play it cool, leaned back in his chair. "Nia, mi nuh do nuttn! Mi only look. Wah, mi blind now?"
"Blind? Yuh need fi blind yuhself fi odda woman! Yuh nuh see seh mi deh yah fi yuh? Mi sacrifice, mi cook, mi clean, an' yuh still ah disrespect mi so?"
Mulla sighed, his tone growing defensive. "Nia, stop gwaan suh! Yuh know seh mi love yuh. A jus' mi nature fi appreciate beauty!"
"Appreciate beauty? If yuh appreciate beauty, yuh wudda keep yuh yeye dem fi mi! But no, Mulla, yuh cyan satisfy wid wha yuh have!" Nia's voice rose, her words sharp as a machete.
"Mi seh stop mek dis bigger dan it is!" Mulla barked back. "Yuh always ah blow tings outta proportion!"
"Proportion? Mulla, yuh cyan tell mi fi calm dung when yuh outta road ah act like a single man!"
Their argument grew louder, echoing through the neighborhood. Passersby slowed, pretending not to eavesdrop but clearly interested in the drama unfolding.
After a while, Nia stood abruptly, her eyes blazing. "Mi tell yuh dis, Mulla: if yuh cyaan respect mi as yuh wife, mi nah stay fi tek dis foolishness!"
Mulla, realizing he might've gone too far, softened his tone. "Nia, yuh know seh mi nuh mean fi hurt yuh. Mi sorry if mi mek yuh feel a way. Mi jus'... mi jus' love yuh, yuh know?"
Nia paused, her anger cooling slightly. She studied Mulla's face, searching for sincerity. "Mulla, yuh haffi prove it. Words cyan fix dis."
"Mi will prove it," Mulla said, stepping closer to her. "Mi love yuh, Nia. Mi nuh wah lose yuh."
The tension between them eased, though the issue wasn't entirely resolved. As the night went on, they sat together in silence, their love tested but not broken. For all their fiery arguments, their bond was strong, and deep down, they both knew they'd find a way back to each other.

Nia had always been a fiery woman, but when she stumbled upon a TikTok video showing Mulla and his coworker behaving far too cozy during a company retreat, something inside her snapped. The comments on the video didn't help, with people speculating about their chemistry. She couldn't believe her husband had stooped so low.
"That bwoy really think him smart," Nia muttered to herself, scrolling through the video again. "Him nah know who him dealin' wid."
After a sleepless night, Nia decided it was time to take action. The next morning, she put on her best outfit, tied up her hair in a fierce bun, and made her way to Mulla's workplace in Portmore. The staff were abuzz with gossip when they saw her storm in.
"Mulla!" Nia's voice echoed through the office. Coworkers peeked out from behind cubicles.
Mulla froze in his tracks, his face draining of color. "Nia, what yuh doin' here?"
"What mi doin' here? Oh, yuh wah play fool now?" Nia's voice was steady, but her eyes burned with rage. "Mi see yuh pan TikTok wid yuh coworker. Yuh nah shame?"
