"Wait! The bracelet I gave my sister is an ancient artifact. If you can get it and learn its secrets, you'll become invincible!" Gu Aotian hastily blurted his secret, desperate as 'Ye Meijing' prepared to act.

'Ye Meijing' smiled coldly. If she were truly 'Ye Meijing', she wouldn't know about Gu Xiangsi's situation, but having known her for so long, she was well aware of the bracelet Gu Xiangsi always wore. Moreover, after being manipulated by Su Mei, Gu Aotian had already severed ties with Gu Xiangsi. How could he have given her such a bracelet?

It was clear Gu Aotian was now willing to betray even his sister. Too bad Gu Xiangsi couldn't see her brother's shamelessness, ugly enough to make one sick.

"Oh, really?" 'Ye Meijing' said, patting Gu Aotian's shoulder with an ever-brightening smile. Gu Aotian thought he might have escaped a disaster, but just as he relaxed, a surge of blood rushed to his head, bringing unbearable pain.

"This is called a bomb… no, a blood oath. Forget it, don't worry about what it's called. I've planted a seed in both your brains. If you entertain any evil thoughts, your brains will go boom." In truth, 'Ye Meijing' had planted Zanghua in their minds but gave it a casual name due to a lack of creativity.

If they weren't afraid of death, they could try removing it. In this world, only the Demon Lord Gu Qingcheng could.

Tortured and desperate, the two thought sacrificing Gu Xiangsi's secret had bought them a chance. Seeing this, 'Ye Meijing' pulled them from the ground, and they fled quickly.

Left behind were slices of flesh cut from Su Mei, causing 'Ye Meijing' to wrinkle her nose. She took out tools from her storage pouch, tossing the pieces into the pit she had dug.

"So resilient, getting both slapped and sliced, yet still alive."

'Ye Meijing' muttered as she worked, somewhat impressed by Su Mei's tenacity.

The plump boy watched in shock, puzzled as 'Ye Meijing' continued to dig. "Big Sis, why not kill them?" he asked.

"The traces are too obvious and would implicate all of Wenxin's gang." This wasn't the demon sect; killing carried risks and consequences. 'Ye Meijing' could escape, but the plump boy and his companions couldn't; this might be their home for life.

Even if 'Ye Meijing' took full responsibility, the entire gang would be targeted. That was their hard work at stake, and she couldn't ruin it on impulse.

"Big Sis, you're always so thorough. But knowing their nature, they won't let it go. I'm worried about your safety." The plump boy struggled to stand but found himself too weak.

"It's fine. I have that hired hand. Just don't act alone for now."

'Ye Meijing' didn't mention planting Zanghua in their minds. The plump boy's lack of vigilance needed sharpening, and constant alertness was the best training.

"Sorry for not killing them earlier."

'Ye Meijing' apologized again, and the plump boy smiled, "I know you spared Aotian for Xiangsi, but why not kill Su Mei?"

'Ye Meijing' didn't deny it but chuckled at Su Mei's name. A different face, a different identity, yet her mischievous grin remained.

She looked at the plump boy, crouched low, and continued, "For fun, of course."

The plump boy struggled to follow his leader's logic. "Fun? Big Sis, you still have time for fun?"

'Ye Meijing' gave a bitter smile, "What can I do? She likes to play mind games."

"She? Who's she?"

"She's just… her. Killing her too quickly means I've lost."

'Ye Meijing' thought of an old acquaintance, suspecting Su Mei's provocations were orchestrated by her.

"Sigh, knowing I only kill and don't understand minds, yet still tormenting me."

'Ye Meijing' mused aloud, her gaze distant, as if she could still see that old friend's shadow on the far-off platform.

She imagined that friend still smiling...

Soon, the plump boy was taken by other Wenxin members, and after a few words of advice, 'Ye Meijing' leisurely returned to the arena, where she found Feng Ya Xianzi sitting.

She sat there, exuding an aura that clashed with her surroundings. As 'Ye Meijing' approached, Feng Ya Xianzi's gaze shifted to her, wordlessly conveying a message.

"You're back."

Seeing that expression, 'Ye Meijing' couldn't help but speak, "I'm back."

'Ye Meijing' chuckled, having washed and changed to mask the scent of blood. Unsure if she could escape Feng Ya Xianzi's notice, she found her uninterested, continuing her meditation.

With the event halfway through, 'Ye Meijing' assumed Feng Ya Xianzi was tired and offered, "Master, tired? Rest on my shoulder for a while."

Feeling good after dealing with Su Mei, 'Ye Meijing' was in a generous mood, even tender towards Feng Ya Xianzi. Yet Feng Ya Xianzi merely glanced at her, replying, "I'm not tired, just bored."

For a moment, 'Ye Meijing' wanted to pry open Feng Ya Xianzi's head to see what was inside. Not only ignoring her goodwill but also bluntly calling the competition dull.

"Well, since it's your kind offer, I'll accept." With that, Feng Ya Xianzi leaned lightly against 'Ye Meijing'.

"Must have been the old woman who told you to do this!"

'Ye Meijing' sighed, but Feng Ya Xianzi fell silent, even closing her eyes.

The fragrance was pleasant, and although it was a beauty in her arms, ironically, the beauty wore her own face.

Surrounded by intense stares, 'Ye Meijing' dismissed them, seeing Feng Ya Xianzi's genuine exhaustion, she remained still, waiting for the next round to begin.
