Chapter 11 ~ Oh, That's Not A Joyful Brawl

Byleth had got up from his seat. Chrom and Claude looked at him in confusion as Byleth kept running over. He got to the two and stared at them. Shuichi and Dimitri rushed in and tried to pull him back. Byleth fought against them as he started trying to attack Claude.

"W-What the...!?" Claude asked.

Byleth shouted, "YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! MY LIFE, EVERYTHING!!!!!" Shuichi and Dimitri were still pulling him back. Furina was gonna try walking over and help but realize she couldn't. Shez, Neuvillette and Micaiah rushed over to pull Byleth away. Chrom dashed over and shoved Byleth away which made the whole group fall down.

Chrom ordered, "STOP THIS!! STOP THIS AT ONCE-"

"HAHH!!!" Byleth attacked Claude as the two fell to the ground. Byleth stared rapidly punching Claude. Chrom pulled out his sword and slowly started approaching Byleth. All the others were watching in fear as Claude kicked him backward. Byleth hugged his stomach and glared at Claude. Claude had a few bruises on his face as Chrom kept his sword out. He was standing in front of Claude, trying to defend him. "Why..."

"WHY!? WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO FIGHT MY DAMN HUSBAND!?" Chrom ordered. Byleth looked at him and rushed at Claude again. But... Chrom had slammed the sword against him. Byleth fell right onto the ground as he grabbed his eye. It was bleeding. The crowd was all freaking out at this rate. Chrom stared at Byleth and felt his stomach turning, feeling ill about what he did. Byleth stared at Chrom, his body shaking. Chrom kept staring at him.

Byleth muttered, "Stay back Chrom. You have no idea... what is going on here..." Chrom glared at him as Claude grabbed his cheek. Micaiah ran over to start healing his face. Claude was staring down at himself and felt tears upon him. Several of the heroes got their weapons out just in case. Chrom was staring at Claude and then looked at Byleth. Fear was still filling his body. "Chrom..."

"STOPPP!!!" Chrom ordered. The entire church was silent. Chrom looked down at himself and started tearing up, "Byleth, THIS IS CLAUDE AND I'S WEDDING! AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT US!? YOU TREAT ME LIKE TRASH AND NOW YOU'RE TRYING TO KILL CLAUDE?!" Chrom looked at Claude and hugged him as tightly as he could. Byleth stared at everyone as they were all terrified.

Byleth whispered, "You're literally BRAINWASHED!" Byleth took out his sword and whipped Claude. Claude fell onto the ground as Byleth attempted to hit him with his sword. But a bullet was shot. It hit Byleth in the same eye that was bleeding. Byleth looked over and realized who shot it. Shuichi.

"STOP THIS?! GODDAMN!!" Shuichi shouted as he rushed at Byleth and tackled him onto the ground. Byleth tried fighting back but Shuichi kept him on the ground. Soon, Nevuillette came walking over. Soon the security also came over and took Byleth out of the church. Shuichi and Neuvillette walked off to discuss some things with each other. Chrom was just frozen, completely stunned over what happened.

Claude asked, "What... was wrong with him...?" Chrom hugged Claude again as Micaiah was healing his injuries.

Furina muttered, "That went so unexpectedly..." The priest was still there but he was shocked by the events that happened.

"I'm so sorry for that interruption. I had... no idea that was going to happen..." Chrom apologized.

The priest replied, "You are forgiven, it was clearly out of your control. You may kiss now." Chrom smiled at Claude and kissed him. Claude smiled back at him as he felt the bruises on his face. Everyone in the crowd clapped as the wedding ceremony continued. Sooner than later they were going to have the party. But first, Chrom and Claude had to exit. However, Byleth was now in a questioning room. Shuichi and Neuvillette were watching him.

Shuichi demanded, "WHAT WAS THE PURPOSE OF THAT FIGHT!?" Shuichi had slammed his hands on the desk as Byleth stared at him. His mouth didn't seem to move at all. He was just staring at Shuichi. "ANSWER THE QUESTION."

"I am not obligated to-"

"Yes you are." Neuvillette ordered. Byleth stared at him and grunted. Taking a deep breath as he looked at Shuichi.

Byleth explained, "I was jealous. I was jealous of Claude so I wanted to do something about it. Maybe give something Chrom won't forget." He stared down at himself in silence. Shuichi sat down and kept his hands folded. Closing his eyes and then taking a deep breath.

"Jealousy... that was it...?" Shuichi started. Byleth slowly nodded. Neuvillette was rubbing his forehead as Shuichi kept his eyes closed, "I left the wedding so I can interrogate you. And this is your reasoning. You were simply jealous about Claude so in the end you decided to..."

Byleth muttered, "It's really not that deep."

"YOU NEARLY KILLED A MAN BYLETH!" Shuichi shouted as he grabbed Byleth. Byleth stared at him and now he was terrified, "CHROM ALREADY HAS ENOUGH TRAUMA FOR A LIFETIME WE DO NOT NEED TO GIVE HIM MORE!!!" Shuichi threw Byleth back into his seat. Shuichi took a deep breath and tried gathering his thoughts.

Neuvillette replied, "You have never been that severely pissed off before. You're usually very calm and collective." Shuichi took a few deep breaths as he looked down at himself.

"Not today..." He whispered. Byleth was looking at the two, his entire body was just shaky from what happened. Shuichi kept staring at him, he had calmed down but he was still ticked off. "I'll leave it to the actual detective of this agency. I still have to attend the wedding." Neuvillette nodded in agreement. Byleth looked at the two as they left the room. Soon an officer came by and took Byleth to the detention room.

While Shuichi and Neuvillette were driving their way toward Ylisse. The road was silent. Shuichi kept his eyes on the road, unsure of what to do anymore. All he thought about was the madness that had just ensued. Not only that but Byleth's reasoning made no sense to him. They were just silent. Nothing coming out from anyone. Shuichi took a deep breath and parked the car.

"Shuichi?"

"I... I don't know," He muttered. He looked down at himself and just took a deep breath.

Nevuillette sighed, "You can take a break. I can take the driver's wheel." Shuichi looked at him and nodded. He was about to get out of the car but suddenly. "WATCH IT!!" Neuvillette pulled Shuichi back as a car sped down the road. Followed by cop cars.

"H-Hollyyy-"

"Calm down! We're going to be fine, just a random police chase..." Neuvillette sighed. Shuichi looked over as he just started the car. They were driving down the street as fast as they could "SHUICHI?!"

"I HAVE TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON!!!" Shuichi shouted. Neuvillette looked at him as Shuichi got to the cops. He gave the wheel to Neuvillette as he tried investigating who it was through the rooftop. Neuvillette got into the driver's seat as Shuichi kept examining what was happening. "Shoot..." He got back into the car and soon they went back on track. Heading right to the wedding. But Shuichi was still curious about what happened.
