The sun was dipping below the horizon, painting the sky in shades of gold and lavender, as Bang Chan climbed the creaky metal staircase to the rooftop. The space felt familiar and comforting, filled with echoes of laughter and memories from their high school years. The group had claimed this rooftop years ago, sneaking up after school to vent about exams, dream about their futures, and tease each other mercilessly.Tonight, it was different. They had just graduated, and this meeting wasn't just another casual hangout-it was a goodbye of sorts, maybe not forever but for now. In a few days, they would all be heading down different paths, chasing dreams that had once been nothing more than idle conversations under these same stars.
Chan reached the top and took a deep breath, looking out at the city skyline. It was bittersweet. Time was moving faster than he was ready for. He set his backpack down and fiddled with his phone, scrolling through playlists as he waited for the others.
The sound of footsteps broke his thoughts. "Am I the first one here?" Hyunjin's voice called out as he emerged, his long limbs and dramatic demeanor always making an entrance.
"Not even close," Chan said with a smirk.
"Good," Hyunjin sighed, flopping onto the ground dramatically. "I didn't want to carry the burden of being first. Too much responsibility."
Chan laughed and shook his head. "You're ridiculous."
Soon, more voices filled the air as the rest of the group arrived. Minho sauntered in with his usual nonchalance, Felix carrying a box of baked goods he had clearly stayed up late making, Seungmin and Jeongin bickering over some trivial topic, and Jisung loudly announcing that Changbin owed him a soda for being late again.
"You're all loud," Minho muttered, dropping onto the ground next to Chan. "Do you ever stop talking?"
"Nope," Jisung replied, popping the "p" with a cheeky grin.
Once everyone settled in, Chan stood up and raised his hands like a conductor silencing an orchestra. "Alright, before we get all sappy and emotional....."
"Too late for that," Minho interrupted, earning laughs from the group.
".......let's just enjoy tonight, yeah? Games, food, and reminiscing. The usual chaos."
Felix beamed. "I brought cookies and cupcakes!"
"You're an angel," Jisung said, immediately reaching for the box.
"Save some for the rest of us!" Seungmin scolded, batting Jisung's hand away.
As the night progressed, they played charades, which devolved into utter chaos when Hyunjin tried to act out "superhero" but somehow ended up looking like he was drowning. Minho's sarcastic guesses only made it worse, and Felix laughed so hard he nearly fell over.
Eventually, the games died down, and the group lounged on the rooftop, staring at the stars. Jisung broke the silence. "Alright, serious question: What's everyone doing now that we've graduated high school? Like, what's the plan?Have you guys applied for any college?"
"I'll go first," Hyunjin volunteered, stretching dramatically. "I applied to K-Stage Academy. I'm going to pursue dancing professionally."
"Wait......I applied there too. I was planning on persuing a Music major." Seungmin said with a surprised look.
"If we end up in the same college that would be cool." Hyunjin grinned.
"Agreed." Seungmin said with a smile.
Jisung grinned. "Well, I applied to Bloomridge University for their veterinary course. I wanna persue a career that deals with Animals."
Felix clapped his hands. "That's amazing, Sungie! You're going to be so good at it."
