Martin opened his eyes slowly as the alarm bugged him to wake up in time for school. The closed curtains allowed for a little bit of morning light through, forcing him to groan out for more sleep.

He reached for the alarm and hit the snooze button harder than he thought he would. "Just a few minutes of sleep wouldn't hurt,"he thought to himself as his laziness to go to school overcame him.

His step parents weren't home again. Usually if they were there, they'd be a bit stern on Martin waking up on time and not being late for school. Martin was not an early bird, neither was he a late bird. He was in the middle. "Ah, no...,"Martin cried out in annoyance as the alarm rang again. He almost thought about hitting the snooze button again when he peaked with one eye at the time it read on the screen of the alarm.

"07:38!"he screamed in disbelief. School starts at 07:45 and he still in bed with shock. He quickly sprung up out of the bed and rushed to the bathroom.

He grabbed a toothbrush and freshened up. Once done, he placed it back in the cupboards and looked at himself in the mirror glancing at the almost different him he thought he wouldn't see. His hair was long reaching his neck as usual. There was that ecstasy he couldn't grasp about himself. Grabbing a cloth and wettening it with some water, Martin quickly wiped his face ridding of all the stuff people would to tell if someone hadn't had a bath.

A few minutes later he'd already jumped into his school uniform. A red tie tightened around his collars. Normal Grey school pants that were woepsy screamed nerd as usual. He quickly reached for his red drymack and slid his arms in.

Checking the time,"Oh, shit!"he muttered as he fixated on the watch fixed aroubmd his wrist.

Running faster than a person looking for the nearest bathroom, Martin could see his school appearing from the distance. Leaving a few streets from the school came with it's perks sometimes. The road to the school was not as littered with as many students he used to see. It was empty, one or two students running like him could be seen from other distances. He could feel the immense breathing he was undergoing."07:44, I can make it,"he reassured himself,  speeding up and nearing the entrance gates of the school.

At the gate, stood the displinary head, Mr Armon continuesly  shouting,"You gonna be late, learn to wake up on time!"

Mr Armon smiled as he glanced over at his watch seeing that it was now 07:45. He closed the gate faster than the late comers anticipated leaving  to beg not to get a demerit for late coming. They ran for nothing."Late comers, write your name on the detention form!"instructed Mr Armon, tired of hearing their cries.

Martin too breathed in immensely,  but his breaths were those of happiness. He didn't run for nothing. "That was close,"he thought to himself. He looked at the late comers briefly and amongst them he saw a certain student with bad boy vibes. He snapped and rushed to his classes.

...

The day at school ran it's repetitive course as usual. Martin made it through the first five periods and was overwhelmed by the boredom he was going through. He also recently came to the conclusion that Telonin hadn't come to school today. His desk, right next to the windows left , was unoccupied. Class, economics,  was the last period before break. As well as the best class, as they didn't learn much. They'd learn about the economy of South Africa and the importance of locality for the rand. Telonin would be the one to answer some questions that the teacher would ask. His aura was indeed missing. In the direction of the clock that was stuck right above the green board that the teacher was teaching on. He quickly came to the realization that break hadn't even passed yet.

"Why!"he muttered, uneasiness and fear crippling him from the inside.

...Ding...ding

The school bell rang, exciting all the students as they sprung out of their desks to have their break. Martin got out of his desk slowly and pushed in his chair. He took his backpack and gulped some saliva as he managed to make his way out the classroom.
