Prologue: The Shadow's Fall

---

The moon hung low in the sky, a pale witness to the chaos unfolding below. The quiet stillness of the night was broken only by the faint rustling of trees and the distant echoes of battle cries. In the heart of the forest, a hidden compound of Shadow Garden agents stood in disarray. The enemy organization, an elusive and dangerous force, had made its move.

It was a plan that Shadow had orchestrated meticulously-a fake death, a sacrifice he was willing to make for the greater good. Only a few of his most trusted Shades were in on the secret: Alpha, Beta, and a select few. But Delta... Delta was kept in the dark, her loyalty and emotional connection to Shadow too raw, too intense to be risked. For this mission, Shadow needed her anger, her grief-he needed her to fall, completely.

And so, Shadow staged his death.

---

The scene played out exactly as planned. Shadow, ever the master of deception, was struck down by an enemy far more powerful than anyone had anticipated. The clash of steel against flesh, the cries of betrayal, the sight of him lying motionless on the battlefield-Delta's world shattered in that moment.

She had been part of the mission, moving through the shadows with calculated precision, when she heard the terrible news. Caught off guard, she had rushed to the scene, her heart racing with fear. And there he was, Shadow-the man who had guided them all, the one who had always been untouchable-lying dead in a pool of blood.

Her mind screamed, refusing to accept it. She ran to him, her trembling hands reaching for him as if she could pull him back from death itself. But it was too late. His body was cold, his pulse nonexistent. There was nothing she could do.

A rage like no other burned through her veins, and for the first time in her life, Delta was consumed by an emotion she had never known: grief.

---

In the blink of an eye, the forest around her seemed to shift. Her mind, clouded by the overwhelming weight of loss, snapped. Her instincts took over. She wasn't thinking anymore. She was simply... acting. Her body trembled, the very air around her growing heavy with an oppressive energy. Her eyes glowed with a wild, untamed fury as her senses sharpened. The world became clearer, but the cost was her sanity.

Her slime suit began to unravel, the once smooth material now frayed and torn as it reacted to her inner turmoil. The berserk form had awakened. Her claws extended into wicked, sharpened points, her teeth elongated into feral fangs. Her once composed demeanor now shattered, Delta was no longer the calm, calculating fighter that the Shadow Garden had relied upon.

She was a beast, driven by pure, unfiltered rage.

With a scream that echoed through the trees, Delta charged. Her movements were fluid, terrifyingly fast, and unstoppable. The enemy that had caused this destruction was about to feel her wrath.

But as she fought, her mind began to fog over completely. She couldn't tell who was an ally and who was a foe. Her world was a blur of blood and battle, a cacophony of screams that only fueled her berserk state.

---

From the shadows, Alpha watched, horrified. She had hoped that Delta's control would hold, that the emotional devastation would be a temporary spike. But this-this was something else. Delta was gone. Her emotions had consumed her entirely, and now, the most dangerous force in the Shadow Garden had turned against them all.

"Stop her!" Alpha shouted to Beta, who was already sprinting towards Delta. But the berserk Delta was too fast, too wild. She swiped at them with claws that could rend through steel, narrowly missing them as she charged forward.

Behind them, the distant figure of Shadow-his "death" was nothing but a ruse-watched with calculated eyes. He had to let this happen. It was the only way to draw out the enemy who sought to destroy the Shadow Garden. But watching Delta lose control, watching her fight against everything she was... it cut deeper than he expected.

Shadow clenched his fist.

He had to end this before Delta tore everything apart.

---

As Delta unleashed another savage blow to an unsuspecting Shade, her vision swam. The rage, the pain-it was all-consuming. She couldn't think, couldn't reason. She was driven by the primal instinct to destroy. To kill.

But then, through the haze, a faint memory of Shadow's voice whispered in the back of her mind.

"Control... control is the key..."

It was all she had left to cling to.

---

But it was too late.

Delta's world was no longer hers to control.

In the face of her rage, she became the monster that even her comrades feared.

The Shadow Garden had to prepare for what came next.
