One Teenage Girl

Under a starry sky, your smile shines bright,
While sadness roamed in the hearts of souls.
What have you brought to this night?
It's been said, it was hope and light.
I wonder was that all you've brought?

People see a normal teenager.
I see a strong and caring stranger.
Thousands of possibilities,
Spreading in front of him.
Looking at you brings back memories.
Billions of different stories,
Each one of them with another me.

Enough of this! One question remains.
Why is it that look that's given to me?
The one that makes my heart skip a beat.
The one that stops time itself.
You don't realize it yourself,
but this heart is declaring defeat.

All you've done was realize the real me,
but all that time spent together
Make me more and more vulnerable.
And each time I see you I stumble,
but you keep catching the clumsy me
While showing that beautiful smile.
Not letting me fall for you.

That is the imagination
of a girl who keeps an act.
An act you've seen through countless of times
to find someone covered with scars,
who's actually the real me.

I always get a crazy idea.
Together forever with you
sounds too good to be true.
So, I laugh, turn around and walk away
from that smile that brings out the real me.
The one that gets hurt so easily.

Under a starry sky filled with silence,
Again, I run away from my dreams.
While shining little crystals fall down
from dazzling eyes filled with emptiness.
Those eyes belong to a certain someone,
Who's been through a lot,
but still has the strength to support others.

Just like that, her life continues.
Keeping her head up,
Continuing to support others,
Passing others before herself,
Remembering important memories
and Trying her best
is how this teenage girl faces life.
