After taking a group photo at the peak, the members of Seventeen couldn't contain their excitement, feeling like they had truly earned the moment. The mountain was quiet around them, the only sounds being the soft whispers of the wind and their own laughter as they settled down on a large rock overlooking the valley.
"Alright, time to break out the snacks!" Hoshi exclaimed, reaching into his backpack and pulling out a bag of trail mix. "I'm starving. Let's feast!"
The rest of the group quickly followed suit, unpacking their own snacks-granola bars, fruit, sandwiches, and, of course, plenty of chips. There were cookies that Seungkwan had insisted on bringing, some fruit that DK had packed, and a thermos of hot coffee that S.Coups had carefully prepared before they left.
"Who knew hiking could be this fun?" Mingyu said between bites of his sandwich, clearly enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. "This is the best breakfast I've ever had."
"It's the best breakfast with a view," Joshua added, taking a sip of his water and glancing around at the breathtaking panorama.
"I could sit here all day," Jeonghan mused, leaning back against a rock, eyes half-closed. "This view is too good to leave."
They spent the next few minutes chatting, munching on their food, and taking in the scenery. There was something about the simplicity of it all that made the moment feel even more precious. For once, there were no schedules, no rehearsals, no deadlines-just the mountains, the sky, and the people they cared about most.
"Hey, let's make a video!" Seungkwan suggested, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "We need to remember this, too."
"Good idea!" Jun agreed, already pulling out his phone. "Let's capture the moment."
The group gathered together, squeezing into the frame as best as they could. They laughed and joked as Hoshi set up the phone, then started recording. The camera captured their silly faces, their voices, and the pure joy of the moment.
"We're here, on top of the world!" DK shouted enthusiastically, throwing his arms out. "Well, maybe not the entire world, but this mountain is pretty big!"
"We made it, guys!" Mingyu cheered, his voice full of excitement. "And we're eating, laughing, and singing our way to the top!"
"Alright, let's sing something," Woozi suggested, suddenly feeling the vibe. "We're a singing group after all."
With that, they started to sing-random lines from songs they had rehearsed, melodies that popped into their heads, and some funny lyrics just to make each other laugh. Seungkwan took the lead, belting out a few random notes, while Joshua harmonized in the background. Hoshi couldn't help but do a little dance as he sang, making everyone burst into laughter.
"Okay, okay, let's save some energy for the way down," S.Coups laughed, clapping his hands. "We still have to get back to the van."
With the video still running, they all took turns singing and laughing together, their voices blending in a beautiful chaos that could only happen when a group of close friends were enjoying their time together, far away from the pressures of their daily lives.
After a few minutes, the song petered out, replaced by a chorus of laughter.
"Alright, that was perfect," Joshua said, wiping away a tear from laughing so hard. "I'm definitely saving that."
Once the video ended, they took a few more moments to simply enjoy the silence and the view. But soon enough, they realized it was time to start packing up.
"I'm going to start cleaning up," Woozi said, standing up and dusting off his pants. "We don't want to leave a mess."
The others followed his lead, carefully collecting empty snack wrappers, sandwich bags, and discarded bottles. They were all careful to leave no trace behind, knowing that they had to respect nature and keep the mountain clean. It was just another small but important part of their responsibility-not just as artists, but as people who valued their environment.
