It was a Monday morning before school. I was walking to school with my best friend Taylor Benson. He has the biggest ego a guy could have. I mean all the girls just love him, although I don't really get why. I guess it's because he's captain of the football team, or maybe it's because he's got rock hard abs, and just the most gorgeous eyes! What am I saying?? I don't even like him. Nobody knows more about him than I do. Taylor and I have been Friends since 7th grade. A lot of time has passed since then, we are now Juniors in High school! It's unbelievable that Taylor and I have even gotten this far. We don't have the best GPA in the world. I've always not cared about school and all Taylor cares about is football and girls. Everybody thinks we're a thing- but we're not! It's kind of funny because whenever a girl comes up to Taylor they always say something like,
"I would like totally like ask you out sometime, but like May's your girlfriend and stuff" Oh by the way, that's my name. May, May Livster. Taylor and I always hang around each other, so I guess people think we're dating. I'd never date him though... At least I don't think so.
"May, wake up! It's time for school!" Shouted my mom from downstairs. I hate Monday's more than my Dance teacher. I know what your thinking.
"Why would you be a dancer if you're a Tom boy?" You might ask. Well I don't quite know the answer to that myself. I've been dancing since I was 2 years old. I'm hoping to get a scholarship to Juliard. Not that it will happen. I decided I didn't give a damn on what I looked like today, so I put on a t-shirt and some sweatpants.
"What do you want for breakfast honey?" Asked my mom.
" I'm not that hungry." I mumbled. I'm not a morning person. At all.
"I'm going to go outside, Taylor texted me that he's waiting."
" Okay, Hun! Have a great Monday!" She said smiling.
" As if." I grumbled.
I walked out the door and saw Taylor there smirking.
"Well good morning sleeping beauty, don't you look nice today." He said sarcastically.
" Thanks, I put a lot of effort into my appearance." I said grumpily.
"Why so crabby?" He asked laughing.
"I'm not a morning person, you know that." I said. Taylor then laughed awkwardly.
"May, do you like me?" He asked nervously.
"Um why?" I hesitated.
"Just answer my question." He said seriously.
"I don't know." I mumbled. At least I don't think I do, I thought to myself
I stupidly asked, "Do you like me?"
He hesitated, "Possibly..."
"Oh." I stated. I had no idea what to say.
"May, will you go out with me?" He asked nervously.
I questioned, "do you honestly think that's a good idea?"
"Why not?" He asked curiously.
"C'mon Tay, we're best friends I don't want to ruin that." I said reassuringly.
"You're right, it was a dumb Idea anyways." He mumbled
"No!" I laughed, "It was cute!"
"Yeah whatever," he said, " If you tell any of the guys about this I'd kill you!"
I laughed, "I won't!"
"Or your ballerina friends!" He laughed.
"Can't make any promises!" I smirked.
