it was a dark night, the Salvatore boarding house felt empty, honestly Damon and Stefan's home throughout the years have always felt empty as soon as they lot there sister.

"Do you ever think she's still out there Steff?" Stefan turned his head towards Damon seeing the mask he put on all the time begin to crack.

"Who? Christina?" He knew who his brother was talking about, their baby sister. Damon took another sip out of his glass.

"I think she's back Steff, i just have this feeling. Also theirs a new vampire in town, i saw a glimpse of them today she had the same birthmark she's always had the crescent moon on her shoulder. Who else that you know of has a birthmark like that?" Stefan's face that once held disbelief now looked shocked.

"We have to find her"

And with that they separated there different ways searching around town for their sister.

Christina was walking throughout town in her white dress her hair curled and hanging down past her shoulders, the moon shining over her. Elijah teaching her control worked, but she was still a ripper. One of the few things she got from Stefan. Of course she didn't know that yet.

She walked down the streets of Mystic falls when she saw a women, around 25 her blood would attract any vampire it smelled sweet. Curiosity fuelled her mind and she crept over to the women. She appeared in front of her, she could hear as her blood pumped through her body.

"Can i help you?" The young women asked, to everyone else she looked like a sweet 16 year old girl. In reality she didn't like hurting people.

"Yes, i have gotten myself lost, its a new town and all, i'm not sure where to go" Christina said sweetly, her voice was compelling, it was soft and quietly confident. It made almost anyone believe her. Her doe eyes making her look truthful and honest.

The women looked at her and then smiled "Yes there is a hotel you can stay at about a couple blocks that way." She pointed left.

"Thank you for your help, just one more thing." She looked into her eyes. "Don't scream, this won't hurt " She lent towards the girl and dug her fangs into her neck. Drinking enough blood she counted to 15 just like she had done her entire life. Then she pulled away from the girl grabbing a handkerchief and wiped the blood away from her neck. She healed the girl up.

"Forget everything that happened you were walking through the town late at night and a 16 year old girl was lost and she asked you for directions you gave them to her and she thanked you and left." She stepped away swiping away the blood from the corner of her mouth with her thumb.

Her phone rang. Great. They realised she was gone. She answered her phone and brought it to her ear while walking towards the Mystic Grill.

"Evening Elijah" She greeted.

"Christina Mikaelson. Where are you?" He asked her sternly. If she told him he would be there in a matter of minutes to pick her up.

"In a place that the moon shines over" She answers vaguely not giving him any clue as to where she is.

"Christina enough of these games come home, or i will find you and bring you back myself." He ordered calmly.

"No Elijah" There was a long silence over the phone then Elijah spoke again, his voice calm and controlled.

"Do you understand what you are doing Christina? Your walking blindly into a world you have never truly been in alone. Its reckless and dangerous"

"Maybe if you stopped treating me like a child i wouldn't have ran maybe if i was permitted to leave the compound every once and a while i wouldn't have been so curious"

"What do you think you'll find dear,? Do you think you will find friends to care for you? To protect you as we have? Do you think you'll find some lost treasure? Just come back home from this little.. stunt of yours."

Christina hesitated, sensing a deeper meaning in his words. "I know enough about the world, i know enough about how to defend myself. i'll be fine"

Elijah sighed heavily, and she could almost picture him pinching the bridge of his nose, frustration etched across his face. "You have no idea what you're inviting into your life by leaving us. But I will not stand idly by and watch you destroy your life. If you will not return willingly, I will find you, Christina. I give you my word."

With that he hung up the phone leaving her to her thoughts. Was it a dumb idea to run away from the only family she has known for 147 years?
