Intentions + goodness

I don't exaggerate when I say that decency in my family might be looked at as a people's pleaser actions. And it's like that in many families, where you want to be a giver or helper but they stop you. But honestly if this action doesn't harm you or others and in fact benefits you or someone else why not? Ask yourself why not and if there's a valid reason not to then do not.

In the end, niyyah (intentions) should be the foundation of each action. You'll wonder how come good is happening? It's because when you made a choice, or did an action, or said something, in the start of anything you've said or done your intentions were pure with no evil intended.

And especially as brothers or sisters, mothers or fathers, we need to teach our children and siblings that good intentions will make them a very good person with self awareness, and truly it helps build a person's personality in a positive way. So we should encourage them and teach them/help them.

But Muslim or Christian if you do something do it for the sake of your lord firstly, and secondly to benefit your society or community. And he or she who disturbs the peace created by communities is selfish by doing so, so with all your power avoid being that person.

And always keep in mind when you do something for the sake of your creator you can always expect a reward from the giver (one of allahs names in English), and of course don't ever expect a reward from his creations but if you are rewarded in the dunya (this life) and akhira (day of resurrection) be more than honored and grateful. That's a gift with no price and no person can compare it to anything.

Story time:
And since we are on this topic I randomly remembered this story that happened in 6th grade I think, We had this wonderful history teacher (loved her very much!) and one day she decided to do a spin the wheel and the prize was a Starbucks gift card of course everyone wanted it right but the fate was in gods hands. the wheel had the name of each student and in that class there's at least 20+ students, I did the unthinkable 😭
So in my mind I said some of the names of Allah that I knew at that time and made a supplication.(dua)
(we are aware allah has 99 names maybe more we aren't knowing of and Allah knows best)
And miss little me decided to promise the most giving that if I won the gift card and the wheel landed on my name I would give the card to my friend.
Ya girl cried in the inside and somehow was happy at the same time....
Honestly everyone say mashallah right now!!! Cause I actually DID WIN and I did give it to my friend as promised to the creator 🤷‍♀️
(Secret though 6th grade me was very much contemplating if I can keep it 😭)

Moral of the story:

At that moment it felt as if me allah heard me PERSONALLY and granted my young self what she has asked for. But I must highlight that I did so with the outmost sincerity (literally closed my eyes and called out by any of the 99 names that I knew 😭)

So if you truly want something don't hesitate to ask allah, When you ask for paradise ask for the highest level (and work for it of course it don't come that easy).

Quranic verses and more:

Moses reassured his people, "Seek Allah's help and be patient. Indeed, the earth belongs to Allah ˹alone˺. He grants it to whoever He chooses of His servants. The ultimate outcome belongs ˹only˺ to the righteous."

your Lord has not abandoned you, nor has He despised(you)."

And if you are killed in the cause of Allāh or die – then forgiveness from Allāh and mercy are better than whatever they accumulate [in this world]."

So by mercy from Allāh, [O Muḥammad], you were lenient with them. And if you had been rude [in speech] and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allāh. Indeed, Allāh loves those who rely [upon Him].

"Whoever relieves a believer's distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter... Allah is helping the servant as long as the servant is helping his brother." (Muslim)

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He who lets the people hear of his good deeds intentionally, to win their praise, Allah will let the people know his real intention (on the Day of Resurrection), and he who does good things in public to show off and win the praise of the people, Allah will disclose his real intention (and humiliate him)."
