The coronation

((a/n: Again this is all just made up, I have no idea how real ones actually work. Okay here we go, the last and final chapter of this book))

________________________________

The coronation was held in the grand hall of the palace, a space that seemed to breathe history with its arched ceilings and sunlight streaming through stained-glass windows. The air was filled with soft chatter of the gathered nobles, other nation representatives and townsfolks waited for the moment they'd all been anticipating. The scent of fresh flowers, arranged in simple but elegant bouquets along the aisle, mingled with the faint aroma of wax from the candles that flickered around the room.

Jimin walked down the aisle as trumpets played and stood at the base of the throne with Jungkook at his side, both of them dressed in fancy royal robes. His robe was a deep navy blue with subtle golden embroidery along the cuffs and collar, his fluffy cape trailed behind him. Jungkook wore similar but in white and silver.

As they ascended the steps to the throne, the crowd quieted, and the ceremony began. Their hands brushed briefly as they turned to face the assembly, their eyes meeting for a moment.

The Royal advisor began the speech, talking a little about the history and the previous kings and queens. Then he went of describing some of huge responsibilities he had as king. With that he flowed onto the oaths.

Jimin lifted the traditional objects brought front of him, a golden staff and a round golden ornament. Jungkook lifted the golden sword brought front of him. They faced the crowd while making the oaths.

"We vow to the people to lead with fairness and integrity, to serve the people of this kingdom above all else, and to protect the freedoms, rights, and dignity of every soul who calls this land, home." Jimin began, voice loud, clear and authorative. "We swear to uphold the laws of the kingdom, to seek justice with an even hand, and to ensure that no voice, no matter how small, goes unheard in our courts. We pledge to honour and preserve the land we rule, to nurture its fields, forests, and rivers, and to pass it to future generations as a home for all. We vow to stand united, to respect our differences and celebrate our common bonds, and to strive for peace among all who dwell within our borders, "

And the final vow was Jungkooks to speak. "We promise to lead as partners, to support one another in strength and in weakness, and to face the challenges of rule together, always guided by trust and understanding." He lifted the sword diagonal to his chest, a gesture of his promise.

((a/n: I didn't make these vows. I searched online 😅))

"I promise to support his magesty in whatever it takes to make this kingdom prosper and flourish so that you may be proud to call it your home," Jungkook adds, skillfully swinging it.

When the final words of the oath were spoken, servants moved forward with the crowns on a pillow while others took back the golden objects. Jimin's father came forth lifting the crown so gently and placing it on his son's head with a proud smile adorning his face. His mother did the same with Jungkook. She mouthed a 'well done' to him before both moved to the side.

The two take their sits on the thrones.

"ALYNTHIA, IT IS MY HONOUR TO PRESENT YOU. KING PARK JIMIN AND KING CONSORT JEON JUNGKOOK!" The advisor bellowed with excitement and the hall erupted into polite applause. Though the thousands of people outside burst into cheers as soon as the announcement went through.

Jungmin watched his parents from his grandparents lap with wonder. He's been told, that he'd one day also be king as the first born of Jimin and Jungkook. He was automatically the heir. Once he was age of 16, he'd have his crowning ceremony and become the crowned prince.
