48| Did You Just?

"That."

Wanda said as she pointed at the symbol that dangled on the woman's necklace, Inez too far away to be able to make the symbol out. Geraldine seemed to pick up the symbol, pretending to be confused as to what it was.

"That symbol."

Wanda said as she moved closer to the woman, Alice staying in front of her brothers, protecting them.

"I, uh... I..."

Geraldine stuttered, Inez watching wide eyed, she had a pretty good idea as to what Wanda might do next.

"Who are you?"

Wanda asked, not believing that woman's name was Geraldine anymore, not realising all the name changes in this town were her doing. Not a single person in this town had their correct name, to be fair most of the others didn't get to choose their names but Valentina and Agatha did which was nice, it wasn't Wanda being nice but it was nice.

"I don't..."

Geraldine said as the babies were crying, Alice trying to soothe them, as her mother stared angrily at the woman.

"Who are you?"

Wanda repeated herself as she didn't get an answer from the woman, Inez was completely torn shoulder she watch what her mother was doing or whatever Wanda was about to do.

"Wanda..."

Geraldine breathed out, Wanda just tilted her head, the same expression displayed across her face.

"I..."

Geraldine tried to say something but her breath trembled, as Wanda continued to walk towards her, slowly stepping back.

"I..."

Geraldine tried to get out again, Inez getting the strong feeling that she was about to find out what may happen to her if little miss sitcom found out that she could do magic too.

"Wanda."

Geraldine breathed out, the woman sounded genuinely scared, most people in Inez's situation would try to help her but not Inez she wanted the woman gone also.

"You're not my neighbour."

Wanda breathed out, as red magic glowed around her hands, causing Inez to curse, why the fuck did she let her mother talk her into this.

"And you're definitely not my friend. You are a stranger and an outsider. And right now you are trespassing here. I want you to leave."

Wanda said as she readied her magic before blasting the woman through her wall, once the woman was fully gone Inez dropped her bag alerting the Maximoff's to the fact that she was standing there.

"Did you just? Oh, god you're..."

Inez said actually panicked, not faking not because of what had happened but because of who she had just realised Wanda was.

"Inez, it's not what it looks like."

Wanda said moving towards the girl, who backed up until her back was up against the wall.

"Please don't hurt me. Please."

Inez told Wanda, this wasn't the actual thing that Inez was worried about, because if Wanda blasted her, her powers would just kick in she was scared that would scare Alice away.

"I won't hurt you. I promise."

Wanda said, looking back to see that Alice had fixed the wall that she had uttered obliterated when she blasted Geraldine back to where she came from.
